What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend? (47 Viewers)

How do you like it? Someone gifted me one, and I haven't got around to installing it yet. Did you tap in to the reverse? Easy install? Mine is a cheaper brand, but good reviews.
I tried one myself...I took it back out. Perspective was too funky for me as a rear view and as mentioned, the arm setup pushes it that much closer to your face. Wearing progressive trifocal glasses doesn't help me for sure...without glasses, I think I'd be ok with it. Installation was easy, and with a backup camera in my head unit, I didn't fiddle with that connection. Most likely I'll stick it in my box truck at work since there's no option for a rear view mirror that isn't camera based... 🦀

Drove the 80 almost all the way across the country and by back for the second time in 4 months. Once again she did great.
Nice trip! CLCC is running a small group to GER in WVA this weekend...you guys are welcome to join up, we can make space! We have 4 cabins set aside for 10-12 of us.

Notice a big difference? I have a LSPV delete/Wilwood prop valve waiting for me to install to see if the brakes can impress me anymore.
TBD. Found a popped seal on the rear axle...waiting on parts...

Have a pretty good leak in the power steering vane pump (it sat for over 4 years, don't think that helped) so ordered a new replacement from an online Toyota dealer. Received it exactly as shown. Who ever "packaged" it needs to have a rectal cranial extraction procedure. Just notified them that they owe me a new one...

Just a followup on this, also posted a note in the buyer beware section of Mud.

Bad Vendor: Toyota Parts Deal

Fast forward. I returned the part, in their carton as requested. They indicated that they would ship me a new vane pump when they had received notice that the damaged part was being sent back to them. 2 1/2 weeks later, I had heard nothing so I called. They indicated that I would receive notification once the new part was shipped and not to worry. A week or so after that I get a notice from USPS that I had to file paperwork with them for a claim. Called TPD and they said not to worry, it happens all the time, they were handling it. About a week later I still hear nothing so I call. They said they would look into it and return may call that day. About an hour later I receive an email message stating they are canceling the order as the part was not available. Okay, fine. order the part from someone else and have it here, undamaged (because they know how to package it).

Several days go by and there is no credit from them so I contact my CC provider and file a claim. Yesterday I get an email stating

" You are requesting a full refund for the canceled order CT66864113, including shipping, as the cancellation was not warranted and you were left responsible for the returned damaged part.".

I am looking at the bill and they want me to pay for shipping. I reply back that I should not be held responsible for any of the cost as none of this is no me, I am not responsible for others actions.

So, beware of this POS seller with lousy customer service and unethical behavior. There are better vendors to choose from.

Sorry, you were not aware. Ourisman or Olathe are the reliable US mail-order shops. My Lexus dealer gives decent discounts as they are an Ourisman affiliate. Part-Souq and Amayana are legit alternatives.

That's some bulls 💩 atiquette there!
I ordered a front drive shaft from them because of their 25% off promo and it was clearly a returned item and it's packaging was as gnarly as yours aswell. He claimed it was brand new but it still has the original owner's info sticker when shipped to me

Building my fourth set of drawers for the 5th Land Cruiser I have owned. The 4th one already had drawers. I build simple ones without slides and they carry a lot of weight just fine pushing them in and out. Pocket holes and glue.

Also, who is this crew? Met you in Stewart BC at the gas station. We discussed we are all active on Mud, but forgot your handles. Anyways, nice to meet you all and hope you have a good rest of your trip.

That's @Glenn-BJ74 @Greg_B @gofast and I forget John Voo and Ruwi's mud handles.
I should have been there too but the timing just didn't quite work. I hope you made fun of their tiny little tires

I can't recall how much it takes as I just pour the oil onto a modified garden spayer which makes filling the diffs much quicker. I have used the Supertech gear oil from wally world for years. I don't see the point in over paying for oil when i change it regularly.
I use the super tech as well, my brother told me once who makes it, don’t remember, think it was the same as valvoline? I change it once a year or so, it also is usually the only one I can find brand wise in the heavier weights for arbs without limited slip additives

Another vote for Olathe.
I received my radiator within 5 business days, double boxed, no damage.
I've always had good luck with TPD for small items, but didn't want to risk it. Olathe also had the best price.
