Just tested it on the highway the thing PULLS! It’s violent and wants to eat.

There is no replacement for displacement ladies and gentlemen.

Holy smokes.

That’s so wild. I don’t know the 2jz motor, but is that the closest cousin? Thanks for sharing this. 👏

Maybe I’m missing something but aside from some rpm spikes it seemed like it took 9 seconds to get to 60mph(100km) from a rolling 10

KPH speedo. ~38% faster to 100....

Need a draggy GPS to test 0-60mph, quarter mile and 100-200km.

The factory speedometer is off since I’m running 34.5 inch tires so wouldn’t rely on that.

This weekend I was able to finish putting heat shielding over the cats, exhaust and transmission tunnel. Also replaced metal lines to the rear heater and put the rehabbed exhaust heat shielding back in.

I thought that piping was long gone...now there's something else I have to buy! But, unlike everything else I have to buy, I actually need this.

New heat shields, too?

Just finished the 50 mile break-in on the new engine with a new Magnuson supercharger. So far, loving it!! Taking it easy for the next 500 miles. The front and rear was restored, along with other restoration work and updates. All OEM with a few exceptions. Can't wait to get her out on the trails.

During the weekend I removed my old, crappy, homemade drawers.
So today I decided to cut a hole in my tailgate

Then I covered it up with a Huracan Fabrication tail gate lid storage thingy

After finishing up, I realized I goofed and didnt remove a piece of the original tailgate reinforcement, so it does cut a bit into the space.
But this is a problem for future me!

Over the last few weekends, on my days off. Sandblasted and painted the back 2/3 of the frame. Mounted the replacement body onto the frame and firewall.

All welded back together, other than the floor seam. Seam sealer on all the welds and seams. Off to my friends house for the mechanical work.
