You will want to put all the buckets back in place and install the camshafts loosely with their caps. If you tighten them more than just a couple threads, you will want to follow the cam torque sequence. The machine shop needs valvetrain parts to get the valve adjustment correct after their machine work is done. That does not mean you can just slap everything back together; instead be sure to check the valve adjustment when it is all back together.

So glad I got this done!..getting really hot here in norcal, was running the hot winding canyon rds, giving the power steering a run for its money on the way to some of my favorite fishing areas!
The aluminum fins seems to dissipate heat nicely and keep the temps down for hopefully a longer life PS system

Finally went and rented a pressure tester to find my coolant leaks and within 5 min I found 2. The 1st one will require a new hose from @LandCruiserPhil and has been ordered as my pieced together BS obviously wasn't working and the second will require me to remove and reseat the lowe hose. Both pretty easy fixes. Now just waiting on the hose before I fix them both. The autozone tester works fantastic BTW

Getting the LC ready for the youngest to start driving. When we last drove her, she was having some intermittent things happening. So today I started doing some troubleshooting with the FSM. During my TS on the AFM I thought that maybe the PO had pulled the plug out so I wanted to check the interior. Everything looks tight and after cleaning the connector it's ohming true. Bought some good electronics silicone. Anything that I should look for inside of the AFM, before I seal this back up?

Replaced my old seat with a pair of BMW front seats.

Cut off the feet from the old rails, welded a piece of iron flatbar to them, and welded the flatbar to the rails on the new seats.

Alright follks, Im not the smartest guys in the planet but I feel like the fan clutch job should not be that hard. Ive tried using both a ratcheting 6 point wrench and a flare wrench, but the nuts that connect the clutch to the water pump are not budging, at all! Ive applied boat load of penetrating spray, tried heating them up, nothing works, and Im on the verge of rounding all the nuts off. Any tips/tricks to help this noob out?

I used a channel lock to hold the old fan clutch still and regular box wrench to break the 4 nuts free

Pulled the headliner down to tackle a few jobs and found a mouse nest

He/she/it had pulled the insulation from the back of the roof.

Not sure if this was the same critter but i found his "holiday home" under the drivers seat. So far i have found 3 bees/wasps nests and a few other things that i couldn't identify.
Pretty sure there are no more now...

How bad of a plan is to cut the “steam” of the old fan clutch so I can have more space to use other methods of nut extraction?
