Exactly! I wanted to see a pic of that.
I've been involved in a few rear end collisions over the years, and also served as witness for a few insurance claims where I saw the accident happen. Most of mine, and several I witnessed, the car being hit had very little if no damage at all. My first one as a teenager in my dad's new car just left a scuff on the bumper and pushed the tailpipe into the muffler. However, in nearly all cases, the car in back suffered severe damage. The lady that hit my dad's car had a smashed front end and a steaming radiator. So yea, what did the vehicle that hit you look like if it did all THAT to an 80?!?!?

What the hell rear ended you, a train??
It was a freaking jeep...

Bustin the 80 knuckle open! ‘Bout time honestly, and much love to @OTRAMM for his video and @NLXTACY for the 54mm and seal race. @ranma21 supplied the knuckle kit with Koyo bearings. I’m at a pause right now as I was trying to use a pickle fork to brake the tie rods loose but it didn’t pan out the way I wanted. The hardest part? Removing the 2 17mm for the brake caliper...

side note: are there awards secretly given out for owning and selling off a truck to get a “ most neglected 80 award” I don’t know about?

Just serviced my front axle as well. A claw or c shaped puller works better for the tie rod ends. It'll pop them in no time and without drama. I also second the Wit's End modified hub socket and axle seal driver. Both worked like a charm. Worth the money.

I just did front axle 2 weeks ago. I don't know what side-tracked me, but when I did the passenger side (after drivers side was complete), I realized I didn't actually pack the inside of the birfield on the drivers side. Thursday night, I went in and corrected that.
I had good luck with this tool for my tie-rod ends, even though it's sold as a ball joint separator.
Amazon.com: OEM TOOLS 27308 Ball Joint Separator | Adjusts from 1-1/8” to 2-1/8” | Fits Common Ball Joint Sizes | Steel Separator Mechanism w/Black Oxide Pin | 7/8” Fork Opening| Comes w/Case: Automotive

Firewood run for me today

All my power steering fluid dumped on the floor tonight.. Guess it'll be a busy day tomorrow :(

Luckily for you it happened at home. After I put in my Red Head Steering box rebuild we went to offroad and I lost all power steering halfway through the day.

Let the kids play in it and push all the buttons to their hearts’ content. Then gave the interior a quick wipe down and a thorough vacuuming. #mallcruiserforawhile

Man, that looks nice...the rig and the environment. Is that black? Looks just like mine...black, 1997, CE, with lockers.
Dark green, 1997 CE locked. This was my 2nd time on the trail (ever), so much fun!!
