Taught my boys how to do a front end rebuild so they can both do it themselves on their own trucks. Used the kit from Cruiser Outfitters with new Koyo bearings all around, and also replaced the spindles. First time I've used spindles that have the bearing instead of the bushing.

Used my Wits End seal driver. Cool little tool.

After 2 years of adjusting my pinion angle, swapping u-joints, etc... I finally installed a custom double cardan rear shaft to keep the vibes at bay. (Roaring noise with vibe when letting off gas when traveling above 75mph). Just did a nice drive to the mountains and so far it's fixed. Vibes really only started after I installed 4.88 gears.

Driveshaft made locally at a shop that's been doing driveshafts for many years for the Baja race trucks. They insisted on using the Spicer 1310x Life Series U-joints. We'll see how it lasts... just happy vibes are gone for now.

What shop did that if you don't mind me asking. Did you bring the truck to them or remove the shaft and drop it off? My stock DS is hitting my LRA 38g tank when I'm flexed to the max and I'm thinking a slimmer, yet heavier-duty driveshaft would just barely clear it.

After finishing the front end rebuild I finally tackled the leaky power steering pump that I've been neglecting.

Ick! Replacing the high pressure hose as well. Used the Gates rebuild kit and Gates replacement hose.

Seals/O-rings were all pretty toast.

More Wits End tool magic.

All back together.

Any guesses what else I'm tackling right away?

Are you feeling a bit "cranky"?

Found some more damage after my last outing. It was an obstacle course and I saw a lot of jeeps getting hung up on the same part, I probably should've skipped it lol. Bent the f*** out of the cc skid on my wkor sliders. Didn't think I hit it that hard, but damn. Also dented my exhaust pipe. Hopefully I can heat it up and bend it back.
