A month or so ago I hopped a large rock and sat the truck on the belly armor. For a moment the fan made contact with a trans cooler line in the bottom of the radiator. Since the 1" body lift I just ran no shroud and left the radiator at the uncorrected height, ate a trans line on the highway, bent the line down as far as I could and left it until I almost ate it again on the trail ... not the smartest move.

Did the nasty and drilled new holes in the side mounts and front piece that hold the condenser and split the shroud at the bottom with holes to zip tie back together so I can remove quickly on the trail if needed (no pics, but I split it right at the bottom). It isn't pretty, but it is functional and that matters more on the wheeling rig.

While doing all that I also purged the distilled water from the cooling system, flushed it out and filled with fresh water for the umpteenth time ... it still looks muddy and likely always will . I also installed a new alternator that required a new plug housing of course ...

While waiting for parts I finally fixed the door check on the pass side door. It's been broken since I bought the truck and I constantly had to ask people to hold onto the door when opening it so it didn't swing all the way open into the front fender ... even though it had many times already. Thanks to @slow95z for the part assist.

Topped all of that off with trying to use my winch to pull a storage container into place for a friend of mine and all I got was a click. Was preparing to swear and throw things, but sorted out that I had a rusted nut and bad connection on the main ground for the winch.

Added an OEM hood prop rod set-up and did the evap canister check valve delete mod to recuse the whoosh when removing gas cap.

Also spent 2 days without power and any type of communication including Internet, cell and telephone becaus e of hurricane Dorian. Small compared to my southern neighbours or the Bahamas but all the same it sucked!

Using Land Rover vents? Look good. I have some vents I need to install but they are fairly long and I might go for something shorter.

yup - they're on amazon, I had the shop fill in the "sport" text..... they fit perfectly into the sides with minimal structural loss. I'll get better pics once I get home thursday....

I’ve had this fzj80 license plate since 2009 and noticed they’re for sale again so I got two more for the shop wall. They’ll look good with the other 80 series plates I’ve collected.

I received the two new plates, Thank you again. Ive decided to put both of them on the shop wall with my other cruiser plates and keep running the old one I’ve had since you first started selling them. It’s still in good shape after being on two cruisers and 10 years of service.

My "trip" camera is a Canon 70D, but I plan to upgrade to a 5D or other full frame camera soon. Those shots are all taken with either my 70D or my friends 80D.

I just got today a CANON EOS R so Im stoked, its sweet. and easy to use(ish) so better pics are inbound. your pics and other inspired to go all out.

Replaced all AC components except for hard and soft lines. Went to put the belt on and the nut on the tensioner pulley was seized. So I did this.

Some trail near silver lake along the ridge, only some challenging parts towards the end. I was following my coworker’s Jeep, he goes way way more than me and know the area quite well.

It wasn't my 80 series and it was quite a few weekends ago, but I worked it pretty hard pulling my bush truck.

Cleaned of massive dust from colorado roads installed new opt7 leds, tried installing new japanese upgraded horns they dont work. and Am pulling superflex arms with band aid bushings that got me home and swapping in Hyperlfex arms. also new seats from cerullo showed up so those ned to go in. And I cant post photos here because they are too large??

@RFB ... New camera has the resolution set too high. Save them to a laptop-desktop-tablet and resize them for lower quality. Might be able to do it direct on the cam as well, I think my Nikon can.

This weekend - started her up, fresh 93 octane fuel, took her for a spin..... then the dreaded EGR light came back on - Code P0401... will be the end of me.
Fresh air in the tires, and that's about it. Drives and runs STRONG! Long live the Cruiser... well till 2022... when they kill it .
