Depends on where you get them. Land Cruiser Heaven has leather covers for manuals.
While we're picking on power seats: they're slower to adjust and--mortal sin--HEAVY...
Your leather seat covers WILL NOT work with manual seats. The patterns are different.
Manual seats are the best. Anyone that says otherwise has a) never had them or b) never had the power seat gears go bad with the front seat all the way...
Do it, it's incredibly easy. Welding machines make is super easy to setup. When I got started I took a welding class at a local forge, was like $75 for an hour and a half of hands on training, learning techniques etc. Bought a welder, welded some...
Over the weekend I finished up a seat heater install (Just in time for warm weather 🙄) and painted and installed an aux speaker for my comms radio.
I have a 96 with manual seats from a 94. I went the easy route and put the heater under my...
I have a 1996 and purchased a new 16400-66040 radiator for it in 2017. It’s tight but fits. You have to reuse the brackets from your old radiator. There are some install threads with much more info and install tips on here but I don’t have have...
I used mine for landscaping. The rear suspension squatted way down holding the scoop of river rock but the T handled it well. This is after unloading a lot of it.
Figured this section needs this addition.
Installed new headlights. RH is OEM. 1 left in the country and it will most likely discontinue. LH was Depo aftermarket.
OEM RH headlamp assy.
What’s they looked like:

2nd vote for FUYAO. A glass place installed a Fuyao windshield in my wife’s rogue. It’s a Chinese company but the rogue’s windshield is made in the USA. Looked excellent.
I just had a new aftermarket windshield installed and I supplied a new OEM Gasket last week. Fits great and the clarity is on par with OEM glass. It's labeled a "FUYAO" brand.
Local windshield shop had to order it, but got it in a week or so...
So made this for my LHD 80, doesn't obstruct my view and got the color to match the original cloth that was on the pillar.
Pretty happy with how it turned out.
Seriously.
Keep what you've got and rebuild it.
That's the best way, unless you have a professional starter and alternator man near by. Auto parts store rebuilds aren't going to use any Denso parts. They'll use the cheapest parts available...
Thank you! I used the original cards for patterns (2 out of the 4 of them were pretty deteriorated ) and 1/8” Masonite from HD for the new cards. Had to trace the locations for the holes for the snap clips, holes for the door opener mechanisms...
Was putting my ‘92 back together after a deserved full paint job. Clear coat was starting to fail after 32 years. I made new door cards and upholstered them while the 80 was at the paint shop. All that’s left is repainting the front bumper...
