Finally got a chance to go to the desert and do all the desert things. Drove on the dunes for the first time, busted an exhaust hanger trying to find cacti, overall good times. Excuse the large amount of pictures if possible.

I love the way those wheels look, what are they and tire size?

I am embarrassed and ashamed and this terrible out of sight out of mind, head in the sand, "I'll get to it sometime" type of neglect almost got me and the Cruiser gone from this world. I'm not always stupid but when I am,

I excel at it.

Glad you didnt accel. at anything else!

Wear down and fall out and took rotor out on its way?

I mistakingly thought it would warn me with sounds but when I heard it, the backing plate to the brake pad was already gone. Locked up 2 feet from the garage after a dark, drizzly run down the freeway to get it home.

I did the same thing except I did have warning sounds. I tried to make it last one more day until I wasn't working but that backfired.

Dear god I miss the deserts!!!

I normally have to pay $35 each for Sakura filters, let alone Toyota. If I could get an oem Toyota filter for $4, I'd be buying 100 of them.

Put a recliner handle on my driver seat 72526-10041-22. They’re no longer available in dark brown so I spray painted it to match. Wrapped the wires next to my egr with glass/Mylar covering. Put a new Access cover on the bellhousing 90950-01803 I noticed it was deformed when I was tightening he crank bolt after replacing the seal. Added a cargo pocket to the rear quarter panel area. I noticed water in the area so I’ll have to fix that soon. I Added a wits end teq sticker to the arb.

Took the 80 on it's first wheeling trip Saturday to GWNF near Harrisonburg, VA. First trip with my 2 year old too. He loved it and the truck did great (even without the golden lockers lol). It was cold and freezing rain all day and even the easiest obstacles were super slick. This thing will spoil me though.. I'm used to wheeling a topless 4Runner with a manual and most everything broken. In the 80 I was warm and comfy, sipping coffee and texting haha. The little guy was even able to sleep for an hour while we were trail riding. Was a great day and the new tires did great.

Oh and I had to roll quick 2 hours back home so didn't bother to air up (only went down to 25 psi though). Today I pulled it into the shop to check it over and air up. Looks like I tweaked the exhaust landing on the muffler. Bent that back into place to stop a rattle (that muffler is ready to be replaced anyway). Kissed the rear driveshaft a few times but no damage. Did an overdue front wheel bearing adjustment and checked for any water intrusion after several creek crossings. All looks good.

tried to install my ARB bulbar; long story short, I need an 1/8" more width out of the ARB mount channels, or an 1/8" less width out of my 2 front frame rail stubs. Any ideas? The front lateral bracing makes me think that moving the front frame rails is going to be the hardest option(and I really don't want to just start swinging a sledge at them)
Hydraulic jack and some 6x6 to "spread" the ARB mount channels?
'94 FZJ80. No accidents on Carfax, and OEM bumper is pretty straight., no evidence of damage to the ARB.

Here's my thread from when I had the exact same issue. Thanks to Mud, I was able to still do the install solo just by bolting the bottle jack to a chunk of wood to brace it in between the bumper rails and slowly expand them enough to slide right onto frame rails. Slid right on without issue further issue.

jeez... glad your safe... I just replaced my front rotors, was thinking about holding out on the rear drums but maybe sooner is better than later... example made!
