This is in the works. Thanks to @nvrlose54 Shaw Fab for prepping the axle housing.

Those spring perches do not look right, I would cut those off and re-do. That steel looks too thin and I would be concerned about it being crushed when the U-bolts are torqued or over time.

@Godwin
Taking a closer look at those perches @cruisermatt is right seeing how thin those perches are. Great eye Matt:clap:

Here are mine from the Ruffstuff SOA kit

The perches are the same thickness as factory. Plenty strong.

Been working on it over the past few weekends, but got a lot of work done this weekend. It's the start of my drawer and spare carrier set up.

Are the tire tie down points through bolted to the floor? If not, would strongly suggest doing so, in fact the whole construct should be anchored to the floor. I like the beefy looking strap.

The strap is designed to hold a dragster to the trailer. It has plenty of beef.

As for the tie downs ... The whole piece it bolted to the floor. The front tire d-rings are bolted to the floor. The rear are just bolted to the 3/4" ply. Next time I have the fuel tank out, I will be making holes to bolt through floor.

What are your plans for the front axle to match the width?

IFS 4Runner hubs with Tundra brakes using adaptors. I have a spare FJ62 housing and a set of knuckles to build on. Got a set of 4Runner hubs from a Mudder I just need time to putting it together.

Can the IFS hubs be used with the stock brakes?

I want to do this 80 series rear but I don’t want a full System revamp. I’d like to retain as much of what I can as possible.

I have an 80s rear and stock front axle with brakes but added 2” wheel spacers up front.

I’ve never run wheel spacers and don’t have any negative experiences with them, but I’m terrified to run them due to my years spent doing failure analysis work.

I’d rather adapt the front out then run a spacer.

This is a thread on running Tundra brakes, 4Runner hubs

I have 16" wheels with spacers on the other FJ60 and I don't like the spacers. This mod will allow for a wider front stance, eliminate spacers, and improve braking.

Doesn’t the Tundra Brakes/4Runner Hubs mod require 17” wheels?
