Banging around in state wildlife management areas and national forests in Louisiana. Many of these roads you could drive in your grandma's Camry but some sections and spots high clearance, occasional 4WD, and maybe a little winch action is...
Nothing but road miles today, about 125. Took the back roads, ran about 50-55 mph in 4th and mileage was improved, maybe 11-12 mpg. Lunch break in a vacant parking lot in nowhere Louisiana.
Day 2. Hit the woods. The ATV is used on Louisiana Wildlife Management Areas where I cannot drive the Cruiser (although in the past I did take it down some ATV trails before I had the ATV). About a mile into one trail and the LA mud was too...
Thread hijack is ok.
The lines I'm using are OEM Toyota and I can't say how the BRH02934 from Cruiser Teq compare. I've been running this setup for ca. 4 1/2 years and a conservative 80k miles without issue. No leaks, good front brakes if all...
Day 1 of a 10 day trip from Alabama through southern Louisiana for field work. First day was about 450 miles. Photo is at the Mississippi rest area on I-10. Pulling the 5x10 trailer with an ATV my mileage is a solid 10 mpg, the in-cab vacuum...
I pulled the diff from the 80 series FF I picked up a while back, it’s tight and looks like it was rebuilt not too long ago. There are paint markings present on the ring gear and the thrust washers looked good. I installed an Aussie Locker in it...
This picture is so very very much not today. I just happened to notice this thread because of the fresh post. And I don't think i've ever posted a picture of one of my M416s behind one of my rigs.
I'm not sure I have any pictures other than this...
Minnow traps and wet, dirty clothes after having set and checked minnow traps (using minnow traps to trap for aquatic salamanders. Towed the M416 around for 4 days doing this.
It appears draining the fuel bowls and flushing may have done the trick. They are going to press on….
Well other than the I think @gonzopancho batteries in the PowerStroke just died…click
I'm assuming OEM carb. The pair of drain plugs are below the sight window and are 14 mm heads. Access is easy. There is a copper washer with each one. Don't lose those. You shouldn't have leakage after pulling these out and reinstalling...
And this right here ^^^^ is what I don't understand. Your lack of a logical and systematic approach makes me bang my head on the desk.
The FSM is not to be "skimmed through". It is an instruction manual that is meant to be read and understood. Is...
I can't say that I've noticed any improvements in how the 2F runs. It is a 2F after all. I had a Downey header on a FJ60 that I swapped over to the FJ40, and the Downey was IMO the best of the headers available at the time. It eventually...
