I like the wire rope on mine. Hope to lose the rollers one day anyway.

Hello,

Is that a 1FZ-F engine with a carburetor?

Juan

Cut holes in the frame and wheel wells, tacked in the shock towers, and installed the coilovers, limit straps, and bumpstops.

Toyota is already working on a diesel hybrid and a full EV LC across the entire spectrum of 20x and 7x vehicles.

Won’t be too long for these options to be the case especially since Toyota announced yesterday that 2018 will be the last year of Diesel engines for the European market.

I found the news article about that and it turns out that it will only cover the regular cars and suv's .The land cruiser,Hilux and Dyna probably still can be ordered in the diesel version as these are considered "commercial"

For what it is worth Toyota kept missing the ball from the mid nineties in their diesel offerings, every time the governements changed the regulations on taxation Toyota always only had offerings that where gonna be taxed much higher then for example VW,Audi or even any of the French brands. This is what has been killing them slowly in Europe, dealerships where big and busy in the 80's and early 90's and ever since it is going down.Whenever I drive by one of these dealerships in Europe they almost look like ghost towns :(

Toyota stopt met verkoop van diesels

Yeah, but what do you pay for petrol there? .07 cents a litre?

0.55 cents a litre:flipoff2:

Hello,

The question was for @boozewz , because it is not an FJ75 but an FZJ75.

Check the 4.5 emblem on the fender. It indicates a 1FZ engine.

Juan

My bad. Well spotted. Got my mate to send me the below. It’s a FZJ75 with a 1FZ-F motor.

Wow, gas is a lot more than I thought it'd be there.

Interesting news on the engine. Maybe the only year it wasn't offered as fuel injected? 11 MPG- So much for the FZ being more fuel efficient than the F. :D

Hello,

Thanks for the pictures.

An interesting truck. H150F transmission. LX grade, or so the -MNUV in the model code suggests. And there is more.

Clutch booster. The EGR port is deleted. And a 1FZ-FE fuel pump, or so it looks. It is mounted where the altitude compensator should be, next to the ignition coil, and complete with its mounting bracket. I wonder if this setup was OEM.

If it is a 1992 Cruiser, then it is old enough to be imported to the US.

Thank you for showing us a quite interesting 75.

Juan

Agreed. It’s wasted in this section.

C'mon @beno, even us laypersons hanging out in the 70 section can appreciate a good 36" of suspension travel!

And welcome to the east coast! Your poor 70 is now starting to rust :)

@beno ..... "Got pulled over in Ohio (@Gun Runner 5 was right: you can go fast in a 70!)"

I take it you were in a school zone? :)
