Fast forward 2 months and into last weekend, this is how it sits now. I originally wanted a 10mm lift but with these 33s, it looks like we need 50mm /2" lift to have it sit right. I'll try to post as I build it and use it. I do enjoy the process.

The 74 is really rare in the GCC market. They were never popular with the removable roof. Most 70s here are either a 79 or 71. 78s and 76s are also rare but the 74 and 73 are unicorns let alone finding one in this condition. A score for sure...

Been chasing this exact car for 1 year or so. I got it from the original owner. He had it parked for probably 10 to 14 years he said. Here is what I got 2006 74 series LX with about 70,000 kms. Stock.

Decided to commute by 40 today… such a pleasant driver. And the 40 easily fits in the compact parking spots.

Lots of driving and eating today. Pressing it home today. Should be home in 2022 by an hour. Recon Grapplers get a 10. Love them. Quiet. Great traction. Picked up a second 2F in Texas.

Just as we were serving breakfast, I look up and see a bedouin sitting on the dune right above us. Other than being surprising and slightly eerie, the figure was unmoved and didn't respond to me waving a friendly hello... Therefore we ate our...

It was an unusual and pure experience: the sand being warm and clean, we walked barefoot and sat in the sand, as the bedouins would. We lit a fire... and enjoyed the alpenglow. We witnessed and experienced the winds that form the dunes...

We settled on a spot located between the two ridges, in a flat area with a superb view. The desert truly comes alive in the "golden hour", especially at sunset, where the contours, shadows, and colours truly come to life. There was...

This was the most beautiful oasis in a wadi I had seen, and it was completely natural, as far as I could tell. No dams, no falaj (water channels), just a water source and the beauty and persistence of nature. Dinner on night 2 was a "Local...

Glamour shot of our campspot when departing: Welcome to Oman, where diesel is 0.67 USD/liter ($2.54 a gallon), gas slightly less, and the price hasn't changed in years: We stopped in Ibri to visit the fort, which was a typical Omani...

I made it across Monarch Pass with a lot of snow and a trailer. This 200 is a beast in the snow. Beast. Tomorrow I’m headed to Ridgway and hopefully the weather will let me take this 200 south out through Durango. Stay tuned.

From Divide it was Snow for an hour and then it dried up as I made my way to Classic Cruisers. I got the platinum tour and we went to Salida for lunch. If you need 40-55-60 parts. These guys have it. Thanks @Ratboy for the tour
