Falco,

What's the eBay ID for that seller? He may have other parts for my truck.

I could use one of those tanks - had to repair mine with epoxy.

Hi mate, the seller was SydneyCityParts on ebay aus. They have a few 40 series bits, but you do pay for them. For $125au you can pick up 1x 40 series front indicator lens and gasket! Pricey! :hillbilly:

1977 fuel gas tank cap assembly

For some reason, when I look at this pic on my computer, it is rotated correctly but when it uploads to MUD it somehow lays sideways. Tried in vain to figure it out. Just lean your head to the side and it looks great! :flipoff2:

Not sure if this appears in the thread anywhere but my local dealer still has spider kits (04371-10011) for the PTO driveshaft, as well as shear pins (90255-04002) where the driveshaft connects to the back of the winch gearbox, the worm shaft.
$40 NZD for the pin which sounds spendy but only $115 NZD for the spider kits which is way cheaper than I thought it would be.

In case anyone ever needs this, these are the part numbers for the differential thrust washers. Toyota carries 4 different thicknesses to account for case variance, and these numbers will be useful if you re-gear or install a locker:

P/N: 41361-x

1.55-1.65 (60011)
1.70-1.80 (60021)
1.85-1.95 (60031)
2.00-2.10 (60041)

(measurements in mm)

So you're fitting these to a PTO winch right now Landy?

How about adding a post or two to the following thread (with the information on the part numbers, your cruiser model, the type/year of the winch, pics etc)?

https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/439883-need-pto-winch-shear-pin-u-joint-part-numbers.html

It'll be more easily found there (when people search) and photos would be a such a BIG help to that thread.

Yeah I am, I am building a big all-in-one great big PTO post with photos galore. Will post it when I finish getting the thing on.

In the process of refurbishing and installing the PTO on my BJ42. Not smooth sailing to say the least. Have had to lay hands on a 55 winch so I have side by sides of the 55 vs 40 drive shafts, pillowblock mounts, spiders, winch head etc. Since I am pulling everything apart I figure I may as well photograph everything and list Toyota part numbers etc.
I have found it hard to find info and I can probably save people some grief.

Cool.

Look forward to seeing it.

Not sure if these are available, but here are the part numbers:

Latch: 69350-60010
Hook: 69363-60020

The latch does show up on toyotapartszone:

Latch - $41.31: http://www.toyotapartszone.com/oem/toyota~lock~assy~spare~wheel~69350-60010.html
Hook - NOT Available: http://www.toyotapartszone.com/oem/toyota~latch~assy~rear~drop~gate~69363-60020.html

Interestingly, 69360-60010 shows as "NOT Available". I wonder if that's the right side of the tailgate? I'm planning on cutting and welding one like this to turn it around.

Nice piece, but outta my budget, for sure.

They're $500ish at Cruiser Corps, but they've been 20% off before.

FJ40 Dash Pad - FJ40 & FJ45 - 1968 - 7/1984

I have a decent core (the foam is in good shape) and I saw somewhere where you can buy just the skin to it for about a $100-ish.

But, its not mounted under the body out of sight, its the one thing you see all the time so I can justify splurging on a new one. Besides, mine's been cracked since about 1985 and I am tired of it.
