Looking good! I am jealous of those ARB air lockers.. Which highsteer kit did you end up going with?

Look what just showed up at the door! I'm looking forward to see how the TG high steer will hold up.

Looking good Ty! What kind of shackle reversal is that? Looks identical to the stock rear spring hanger. Have you made a decision on tires yet?

It is the original spring hanger. We are just going to use it for the shackle reversal. I want to go with the BFG mtrs but we will see

Hey man looks like you're doing good work, not often you see one of these spring overs on a cherry rig. You should keep all the OEM trim, it all looks really pristine.

Keep up the good work.

Update. I have been pretty busy and havent been able to give you guys an update. Here are some pictures of the front. i will get some better pictures soon, but these are all i have right now

Can you explain how you mounted the shackle through the frame? I also have a spring over with shackle reverse and its way too high. This looks like an awesome idea to bring it down 2-3 inches. Which parts did you need. I'm assuming some sort of custom shackle.

@Shebamacalla
My boss fabbed it up for me. Im not sure exactly how he did it, but im guessing that he just cut a hole through the frame and put the tube through and welded it in. The parts are from ruff stuff.

Update! I have been busy these past few weeks, but finally had a chance to do some work on the Cruiser this week. I got the ARB compressor in and the lines all routed. I didn't get a picture of it all set up, but here it is fresh out of the box and bolted in-

Crappy picture of where the switches will be. I will cut the hole out all the way to the other factory switch plate for more space. Then I will fab up a plate with enough room for the locker switches and some rock light toggle switches and indicator lights-

Looks very nice!

Are you still planning to take this to Rubithon?

I went last year with my dad & son and was wrenching right up until the minute we left. That was an awesome trip.

Me and my dad were planning on going, but he had back surgery and is still in the recovery process. I don't know if we will make it and honestly i don't think the cruiser will be done in time. Next year for sure.

Also forgot to mention that I ordered the HFS vinyl replacement seat covers a few days ago. I installed some in my dads cruiser, and they are nice.

The seat covers arrived! They are very nice. There are some changes from the ones I installed in my dad's cruiser a couple years ago. The fabric that you put the clips through to the seat are more heavy duty and there seems to be a little more padding. Here are some pics

NOTE: for anyone buying these- make sure that you take them out of the box and lay them out flat as soon as possible. When I installed my dads they had been sitting in the box for a while and the creases took months to come out.

Did a little work on the cruiser yesterday but forgot my camera. I got the frame and axles all painted and got the compressor all squared away. Tomorrow is drivelines and brake lines. Still need to order the wheels and tires and figure out what winch I want. I will make sure and get some pictures.

Also, got the wheels and tires ordered last week. They should be here in the next couple of days. I went with the 17'' pacer aluminum wheels and 37'' BFG KM2s.
