Also i decided that instead of just getting high steer arms i'm going to get the whole kit. Any suggestions on which kit to buy? I know the trail gear one is pretty cheap, but from what i hear their products aren't as good as their prices.

The marlin kit is the best IMO, but they are out of stock now. 4x4 labs highsteer has good reviews and looks like a solid setup. And the trail gear setup looks almost identical to the marlin setup but half the price, and it has a lifetime warranty. I think TG has a bad rep because they are a big time corporation and are not Landcruiser specific. I haven't had any issues with their products.
Ok i was browsing the web, and it looks like it comes down to two kits.. The TG for $366.45 or the Iron Pig kit for $345 on drivetrainconnections.com. Does anyone have any experience with the Iron Pig kit? Which one is better or does it just come down to price?

That didn't make much sense. I mean that Iron pig sells Trail gears hysteer kit. I bought my kit from Iron pig and its all trail gear. They have a bad rap around here but honestly they make some pretty good stuff.
What kind of 37s are you going to go with? I've been looking into trailworthyfab.com's re centered h1 double beadlocks with the old school military MT/r's. Are you looking to get beadlocks or just regular steelies?

I was thinking about running the BFG km2s with the 17'' Pacer 164b LT blacks. One of our friends has a white 60 with the same wheels and tires at 35 and 15'' and it looks tough.

Thats going to look good. I was looking into the MTrs but found out that they are like $380 a tire.. Maybe one day, but for now my sights are set of the military setup.

Yeah the black wheels are going to look good on it. I'm going with the white with black trim color scheme. Im going to install the bumpers and stuff, then see if i want to black out the grille or not, then remove the chrome on the windows and mirrors if i decide to black it out. After its built and i make some money i will do limo tint, but for now i'm just focusing on getting it done before summer

Looking forward to more of this build and how your bumper designs come out. If you could, would you post up some pics of your dads rear bumper. Great job and keep the pictures coming.
Got the cruiser in last night. We have been busy at the shop, so had to wait a few days before we could get it in. Should start the tear down today. I need to order the high steer kit also. here are some pics of it with the other projects (sorry they are a little blurry)
Update! Finally got to get my hands dirty yesterday. I decided I was going to work on the cruiser instead of going to the swap meet in Stockton saturday. I think it was worth it haha. Here are the pics-
I spent my spring break working on the cruiser. here are some pictures-
Cleaning up the axles. Easy off oven cleaner works very well. it removes all the grime, along with the paint.
