Well it wasn't leaning before my wife got pregnant, but I don't think I will bring that up.

My 80 has a leaning problem. On flat ground the rear passenger measures about an inch lower that the drivers side. I started noticing it about 3 months ago. Other than a blown shock, what else do you all think the issue could be?

A / B springs mounted on wrong side? OME springs are side to side specific as well ....

If you get the full OME tech book (several hundred pages) you will see that it is also not uncommon to have some lean. They produce trim packers in various thicknesses to help with this ....

Spring just crapped the bed early? Check the perch. Yeah, that sounds like something that might be a thing. Wait...the spring perch, not the yellow perch. That's a different thread.

Swap the rear springs from side to side to see if that fixes it. Easy to do.

Love that high temp custom ceramic coating. shame the valve cover didnt get it applied. I'm sure it keeps engine bay temps down

Pulling the springs, while easy, is tedious and I doubt you will find anything there. Check your rear sway bar. Disconnect it and see if there is a huge amount of tension on it. Sitting at right height, it should be easy to remove, but if it is bent it could be under a lot of tension.

Took care of my garden chores first thing this morning before I could work on the yellow truck.

Harvested our onion ‘crop’.



Finally was at a point I could pull the F135. Took way too lang thanks to some 50 year old cotter pins in the engine mount bolts.

They were having a great time racing down the hill till Dad tried it, got it light on one side in a corner and bent an axle.
On to McMaster-Carr for beefier threaded rod.

OH man! They have gotten so much bigger! Wow. Anyway, get an old battery powered drill on the rear axle! Convert to powered vehicle, it was Zach's favorite project when he was about that age.

Kids built it for Odyssey of the Mind competition, it only had to move about 20 ft. This was the proof of concept vehicle, Mark I, and it ran pretty good. The kids where 60 lbs wet, so the drill did the thrill.
