Got all the material for the a-frames for my gantry crane project cut yesterday. Thank god for plasma cutters. A horizontal bandsaw would have been nice though.

Dude - spend a few hundred bucks on a good dry-cut saw. I highly recommend the Makita. Evolution Rage 2 is the budget alternative but I’v found mine doesn’t cut as straight as the Makita.

I offered to let him borrow my Makita. It’s the tits when cutting angles.

Gotta use the plasma when I can! Some day I'll get a horizontal bandsaw, but till then, plasma all the way.

Know what you mean...I've used my hypertherm 45xp only a handful of times. When it's needed, man is it nice to just lop off brackets, rivet heads, whatever!

Heater Tees done... I'm thinking the

Until you see a laser cutting 3/8” plate at 800 inches per minute producing finished quality parts .... I’d have to win the lottery to buy one ....

The master was installed by a reputable shop so I assume it wAs adjusted properly. And I bought NTK O2 sensors which are Who made OEM ones in 94. And I’ll have to look for a rip.

Activate your ABS by attempting to skid the truck on a gravel road then re-bleed everything. That works lots of times. I can't offer a suggestion on the O2 sensor replacement issue.

Anyone know of a radiator shop in Durham / Raleigh that services gas tanks? I need the tank from my '67 cleaned and tested. It looks great inside but makes sense to be sure while its out.

Do they do gas tanks too? @SFROMAN

Yes, that is what I dropped off!

Also...depending on the tank condition it could be smarter to just buy a new oem one. They are ~350ish from FAT for the '73 and earlier styles. The one in my '67 looking really clean on the inside and didn't appear to de leaking so I decided to gamble and have them boil, pressure test and braze up any pin holes (if there are any). It's likely going to run me ~100 bucs. If they were to line the inside and paint for me then that would push 300ish.

I installed the caster correction plates about a week ago. I had some time to drive the 80 today and it rode horrible. I took them off today and the ride came back to normal. I dont know what happen but i ordered the factory bushing and i will try again.

Did they fix the steering just harm the ride?

I will try this, thanks for the suggestion.

I never had a problem with my steering. I am just following the crowd installing caster correction on the 2.5” lift. But it didnt work for me. Kind of sucks!

Odd as the camber adjustment provided by camber plates shouldn’t change the ride quality.....

I see, when I installed my lift my steering went down the drain. I have play and it is hard to drive. I guess mine is more at 3.5” but who would’ve thought.

What plates did you use?

@Roxx did you already have caster correction bushings and then installed plates as well? Plates are supposed to be used with factory bushings, if you already had aftermarket correction bushings then added plates I could see how it handled worse.
