I hate Java in general - freaking security nightmare. You can have every version on 1 machine - who fxxxing leaves the older version behind when updating software. Just roll the updates into the older version or include the required old functionality in the new version.

How much did they charge you?
I went to a Quick10/Jiffy Lube to get my car inspected. I had Llumar Platinum Plus tint installed that measured 35%, the legal limit in NC. When I pulled up, I stated I needed to have my car inspected. The attendant responds with it will be $50 extra for the tint. I said Bull**** and left. I should have asked for the manager and recorded everything on my phone. I wonder how many people they get with that.

The speed limit is the absolute minimum you should be driving. That's why they post them. People should be ticketed for not obeying the law.
I will keep this short, as I need to do some work today.
Meeting tonight that starts at 5:30, Normally leave for home at four, Meeting is about nothing except drinking a little beer or wine and talking to designers. Then Thursday night... a nother meeting at Fergerson for wine tasting a food prepared by some chef.
The building industry has picked up in Charlotte and brings out all the parties, like in the old days.

The speed limit is the MAXIMUM limit you are allowed to travel without breaking the law. If you go above the limit, technically you are speeding. On Interstate roads there are often MINIMUM speed limits. One should be able to at least make the minimum to ensure not getting completely run over. Those that don't ARE breaking the law and should be ticketed (maybe this is what you were alluding to?).

Yes a joke. I drive an 80 series Land Cruiser and poke along in the far right lane wherever I go. The GTI on the other hand is driven like I stole it.
28 mph in a 45 mph. Very unsafe. They never get close. This is miles into trips down glenwood.
The CDI turbo benz is not helping. Getting back to a 100 as quickly as possible. ;<)

$12 for the $4 wiper blade...but I was not about to come back and waste another hour for those fools...it's straight up entrapment
I read the signage they had it there about costs (that's how I saw the $.85 to the state..it only cost $10 extra for window tint)
it was a quickie place.....but they are all crooks, and encouraged by the state

When I went to automotive school in PA I took the test and got my State Inspection License. At that time a vehicle had to be inspected twice a year. It was like a license to print money.

How come they don't mandate how to properly merge into traffic as part of drivers ed, and that the left lane is for passing not for driving beside soneone below the posted speed.
Merging in NC is an incredible experience. Everyone acts like they are blocking entry to the highway like a nascar race and the lanes beside them are EMPTY. Great idea, move over and let people on the highway. Current ride, there is no problem merging at anytime. ;<)
Or pulling out onto a two lane (on one side) with plenty of room/time to pull out, car approaching from behind and instead of going around they run up behind you and slam on brakes and get mad. So funny, just go around. Very strange technique indeed.

When I'm on 540 and come up behind someone driving slow in the left lane, I hit the high beams. If they don't move, I do it again just longer. If they still don't move I blow the horn and hit the high beams. Most the people driving slow in the left lane are talking on texting on the phone and are obvilious to their surroundings.
I believe it is how you are taught to drive. I know many friends who drive in the left lane at the posted speed limit and they catch a tude when I bring it up. It is hard to ride anywhere with them.
OH, I like to play.
It is, in fact, illegal to drive a GTI under the speed limit. You can forfeit the keys if you do, or are not smiling while at it.
