Rock auto has rear beck arnley motor mounts for pretty cheap. The DEA front motor mounts they list on rock auto are afaik the oem mounts b4 they are packaged by toyota if you want to do the fronts too.

Thanks for info, I ordered a set this morning. Cruiser Corp was out of stock as well.

Transmission mounts came in today from Rock Auto. I was also able to replace the steering rag joint with a new one that has been sitting in a box for a few years. It is nice to finally have some time and a garage to get some work done!

Those are the Toyota part numbers, the only thing that might throw them off as an oem Toyota part is the box is labeled made in Taiwan. I would expect Japan, but I don't know for sure. Hopefully I will get them installed today.

I miss the log.
You should eBay it as a special edition “Colorado” LC bumper

Looks good man.

Gave her the CLR treatment per @wngrog instructions and a lot of the rust staining cleaned up fairly well. I was hoping the rust holes would magically disappear too, but no such luck! I also got one soft door on, one of the pins is seized on the other side so that will have to wait for another day.

Looking good that truck has come a long way.

Decided to try and clean up a wheel today, I think it turned out good enough to put some paint on it. I would like to get them powder coated at some point, maybe this winter when it will be stranded in the garage.

I used CLR for the intial wipe down and then a coating of naval jelly. Maybe a little extra work and it will be really nice. The naval jelly did stain white in spots, must have left it on a little too long.

Kbahus,

I'm working on some wheels as well and I am using phosphoric prep and etch, from Home Depot, and basically does what Naval Jelly does. The bottle says to wipe off the white residue with a damp cloth.

How are those transmission mounts working out? Are you able to tell if they are really oem mounts?

I have not had a chance to get the rear mounts in yet. Made a weak attemp when I got them only to find out my floor jack is not up to the task. I am still not sure if they are true oem, but I am going to run them regardless.

My OCD got the best of me and I tried one more combination of rear springs. I took my original 4" springs that came with truck, removed the second to bottom leaf, installed the the 2* shims, and bolted them up. Finally the rig sits about right with out having to buy new springs for now. The ride is stiffer than the 4Plus springs, but that is to be expected as those were quite squishy. I will probably keep the tub of sand in back as ballast until I get a spare tire setup as well.

I also received some lug nuts from Cruiser Corps and picked up some smoke grey Rustoleum to try on one of the wheels. Applied some stickers as well. I need to find a few more authentic TLC related to fill the panel.

Finally I spoke with 4WheelParts for the millionth time about the tires I ordered back in April. Despite their website saying they are in stock, they still don't have them yet. I am not happy at all with their service. When I ordered the tires in April their website said 5-8 days out. Going on month two with no tires, a billed bank account, and no solid date on when they will ship. I will not be doing business with them again, fraudulent practices if you ask me.
