Thanks guys! I can't get over how much easier the steering is, it's a totally different truck. I need to track down some hub caps to finish it off.
Brand new ones from Toyota are available and cheap, like $15 each cheap. Hard to beat.

I was very surprised as well when going to the taller skinnys how much easier it is to steer. It knocked power steering off my want list.

Those steelies would have really looked sharp against the OEM Log bumper.
I now have the log, it was included in the sale. Sorry, it’s going on the wall not the 40.
@landwagon (or @kbahus) What is the paint code on the data plate? 531 is my February '75, but everything newer than '75 is 532. I just bought a can of 532 from Cruiser Corps and tried it, my truck is much greener, much more appropriately uglier and retro. I could be wrong about the color code, others on this forum suggested that our year is unicorn for paint, CCOT lists both 531 and 532.

I am not sure what the code was, but I agree that it is a different shade than others I have seen (and better imo). I am curious to find out, Landwagon is going to have look into it 
Not home to look, I glanced at it this weekend and it a July. Best I got for now.
I’m not sure where the paint code is? it’s not on the door.
The data plate is next to the battery on the passenger fender.

I really like this cruiser, I was tempted to pick this one up, but I have plenty of other projects.
