So are there any TRD Superchargers left? (1 Viewer)

I saw one available from Camel Back Toyota in AZ, new from dealer, ordered it online. Don't think they actually have any since my cc was just credited amount of purchase.

Or a 16361-65020

Or an original fan with Landtank's custom clutch and no fan spacer. (The best solution in my view.)

Yes, you do. The S/C kit included a fan spacer and longer water pump studs.

If you have no fan, no spacer and no studs you would absolutely be better off getting Landtank's custom clutch. Use your orignal fan and skip the spacer.

Landtank's custom clutch is not available for public consumption yet.

I bet he'd sell one. Mine is buzzing along just dandy.

He already knows mine's good. Get busy....:deadhorse:

I wouldn't... From this thread: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/trd-supercharger-questions.787264/page-10#post-9493723

CX Racing has been around for several years. They make good $$ cuz they sell kits that are like 1/4 of the price of a real, well designed, complete turbo kit. It's just like a cheap Chinese Ebay kit. Thin walled piping, weak clamps, and poorly fitting couplers. There are a few guys on the MR2OC Forum running their IC's (the only good thing in their kits), but even those don't come with a fan or shroud.

So if you just want ANYTHING to make you more power, without regard for how poorly constructed and poorly fitting it'll be, knowing you'll have to likely go back and redo it later, sure, they're an option ;) Otherwise, just remember that you get what you pay for.

Unless I score a BNIB TRD Supercharger someone's been holding onto, I'm gonna prob. take the plunge and get the Sprintex unit, but use my own air-to-air IC via a hood scoop (like a WRX). Stock fuel system though. The truck is the most reliable thing I own, even though it's one of the oldest things I own lol. Trying to keep it like that :)

what is so attractive about the word "kit"?
It could be the crappiest, most incomplete "kit" in the world
Put some thought into it now, or troubleshoot it till the cows come home later.

scottryana,
you have to say your "kit" is a new type of "easy, full bolt on kit"
it's a fun system where you take the list provided,
go search and buy all the parts yourself- like a fun scavenger hunt!
there are "gold nuggets" along the way,
where you get to talk to real experts and have them fabricate cool custom parts just for you!
-people love "custom"- yet these pros will make the parts "bolt on" to your "kit"!

so fun and easy!

I just bought this unit. It doesn't come with the TRD fan, does anyone know where I can find one?

The more I think about this the more disappointed I get. I mean... blasting past you in the hills on our way to the desert? That's all part of the fun for me. Breaks up the monotony. Now what am I going to do for entertainment?

...I guess it could be worse. You could be doing the V8 swap you talked about. Then I'd be the entertainment.
