I'm looking to replace a very cracked dash pad. It looks like the one for a tan interior is 5540160150E0. Can anyone confirm this is the right one for the interior pictured? Any good sources to buy one?

He’s not going to be able to get it because it’s LHD specific.

Also, there is one at the LEXUS DFW depot. If you order though a Lexus dealer you should be able to source the part.

And, yes, it is officially discontinued.

Is this the only new one in the country?

Are blue-gray 95+ still available?

No, but someone (I forget who) recently did a limited run of SEM color matched paint....so I have a new oak dash and 2 cans of the blue gray paint squirreled away for the future.

Too bad Toyota doesn't (or can't) give people a heads up when they're going to discontinue parts (?millions of part numbers) but if they could they'd likely get hundreds of orders if people knew certain parts were about to go extinct. ie: a blinking red flag next to part numbers that are going to be discontinued in the next ?12 months for example.

I know, not realistic.

A few years ago however I also added a NIB instrument/dash pad to my stash for when it's needed.

For the future our options would be find a good used pad or get one rebuilt.

Looking at this website I don't see an instrument/dash pad for the 80 Series but someone someday might give it a try:

I recovered my dash myself. Wasn't very difficult. You can have it done professionally as well. Mine is the early dash. The later dash would be more difficult but very doable. Its also a good time to integrate more gauges into the dash, or a center touch screen tablet. I used marine grade vinyl made for boat seats. It is holding up to sun exposure great.

Just Dashes can rebuild anything vinyl covered to like new condition. They just finished my FJ55 upper and lower dash pads, instrument cluster surround, and glovebox door. Pricey but better than when new (at least for almost 50 yo parts given the modern, closed cell materials that they use).

i thought all hope was lost for obtaining a dash pad in oak, but they are still out there...Apparently there are still some at a warehouse in GA. After trying to order online, and failing, I called the parts department at Serra Toyota on a referral. They were able to source the dash pad and send it from Alabama to Indiana. Now to source the rest to redo my interior!
