@BJEC69 you are going to love that engine setup. It really makes the truck come alive.
@jomelo Thanks for breaking the trail and inspiring this build!! Really looking forward to the second transformation of Rosie by and from @wngrog !
We’ll have to come by when it’s all done for a tach run together 🍻

Got lots of little stuff done today. Exhaust is in place. Winch back in place. Shifter rod 3” added and installed. New vacuum hoses for 4wd shift. Bunch of other small s***.
But this is totally pimp. Dave @lcwizard at 4 Plus worked with us to design this PIMP OEM fuel tank swingout.
This is so cool.

Wow, I would have loved to have that back in the 90's. I wanted to design/make an extended forward clip on front wing to make Elsie a lot more aerodynamic on the freeway.

Took a couple days off and took my 70 up to the Cruiser Crawl. Hung out one afternoon and came back yesterday.

Hung out with my girls this morning then came out and knocked out my punch list.

Fuel tank in. Seat in. PCV valve in. Coolant in.

All is left is driveshafts and then it’s off to @FJ60Cam for first fire and tune

Would love to know what the startup procedure is for this if you are willing to share.

Mosley has a cool new thing he is integrating in house on this album one so he wanted some time alone with it.

Love it!

Less the Optima. Those are the devil in my museum experience. They also look out of place.

A personal opinion from an old curator dude. :hillbilly:

TOYOTA True Start?? Always bothered me, too! Open to suggestions….🤔

Toyota replacement batteries are privately-labeled Interstate batteries. I personally like the plain black case they use. The labels come off if the graphics bother you. Most of Interstate's regular batteries are white/green cases that scream "aftermarket". Interstate is the vendor for more than one carmaker's batteries. They use the black cases and simply apply different labels.

There are only a couple battery manufacturers in North America making batteries for just about everybody.

I prefer the Japanese Panasonic batteries but those are not imported as replacement parts. If they were, the cost would be brutal, to say the least.
