Nolen, I know this is ancient history, but where did the bezel keyring come from? I want five.
Brendan sourced that. Maybe Reefmonkey

I’ve had that for years……I recall getting it from a vendor on MUD….Cruiser Crap. Not sure he is really doing as much any more…. Got that, TEQ bubble type/ appliance type logo stickers, and a TEQ shifter ball…..the monkey ball comes from a company in Montana called Red Oxx for their zipper pulls…..used to keep the key chain from rattling.

Coming together

I've got to say that seeing the Goat working is always an absolute joy! I think the visceral thrill such things give me dates back to my childhood and both watching the Waltons and their old pickup truck as well as my maternal grandfather's line of well worn, working pickups.

I tapped out yesterday and went to see my kid at MSU. Little over 2 hours up. Smashed a steak and then got him some groceries this morning and got back at 2 and dug back in

And then there is this

Putting it all together.

To keep the F style shroud I had to do a lot of surgery on the fj60 fan. Basically had to cut about 1.5” off to make it the size of the OEM metal fan.

Sniper 2GC is in place. Wiring was already there so that was easy.

Another issue I ran into.

Moving the clutch slave to the passenger side to work with the 4 speed bellhousing I’m using, and keeping the pivot for the factory linkage for the High/Low shifter.

Using a 1984 style slave this is what it lines up like

The Wizard took that weird bolt/pivot and machined off enough where it is not going through the slave cylinder and keeping the pivot in the stock location.

This is the thing I’m referring to when it’s on the truck

Got the trans/transfer stabbed. Ran into the usually fitment issues and had to do a little trimming to the body.

Got the driveshafts ordered.

Now I’m working in the slick 40 series H55 crossmember I got from Australia for this project.

I really love the way these trucks feel with the Tcase motor mount on the crossmember.

Good news is the stainless exhaust fits from the old setup. Thats a huge timesaver.

OK. Got it all in.

This takes a lot of steps.

I’ve had the driveline resting on the bellhousing mount.

So, screw Jack under the Tcase. Lower it way down and install the parking brake drum.

Jack the driveline back where you want it.

Install the 40 series 3 piece crossmember.

Mark the frame for drilling.

Raise it up again. Remove all the crossmember stuff.

Drill frame.

Add clutch cover (had to rob the one out of the goat) Classic is sending me one

Add the Y pipe

Lower the driveline back into the new crossmember.

Pretty easy just takes a lot of time and steps.

Here is the new slave mount. You could cut the leg off the old unused mount but I’ll leave it

Need to extend this shift rod 3”
