Holding up great as others have said. Worth it, favorite mod. Only thing I will change soon is painting the lens so it isn't transparent but just a personal thing there, enjoy J Mack!

Would a strip of limo tint darken it enough to drive into the sun?

You can drive it into the sun but at some angles the sun can sometimes overwhelm. I would never black it out completely but there are times I thought about adding another layer of tint. Then the feeling goes away.

Thank you!

My Rosen's are still in good shape, although I have many times wanted a cover for the visor when the sun is glaring. It would be an easy thing to stitch up with a zipper - just need the time...and the sewing machine...and the sewing skills...

Yep. Like NLXTACY mentioned, it's only at certain times, otherwise I never think twice. It was really only a stretch of 2 weeks over the summer that each morning I drove straight into the sun, and back into it in the evening that I wish I had either a little bit more tinting or making it opaque. I taped an old Sour Patch kids wrapper up :hillbilly:

Here's the longer lens...its just a few inches from the mirror in the fully retracted position

Luke,

Can you please measure the distance from the edge of the windshield do the edge of the visor? I need to see if the gap provided by the long visors will work for my application. I have the Eclipse retractable solar shade on each edge of the windshield. They prevent the OEM visors from opening all the way so field of view is reduced a little.

Thanks.

Didn't really understand which edge you were talking about so i looked up your retractable shade which appears to mount on the side...Based on the web site I don't see any issue .... They prevent the OEM visors from opening? please describe opening... Keep in mind they are longer on the end closes to the mirror. and with a quick turn of a knob you can slide the lens another few inches towards the mirror.

Just spoke with Dan and placed my order. The longer lenses that were also ordered with the visors is the #7L10078 18.824", hopefully they will fit properly. When I get them in I will post some pics for comparisons.

Hopefully not to long....could be right up to the edge of the mirror but could be perfect

Do these help answer your question...

3", got it. Thanks. I measure the Eclipse shade, and they take up approx 2.5" of windshield space so these visors ought to do the trick.

They are big, they bounce a little, the mounting posts rotate and offers adjustability, they dont hit my rear view mirror with my current adjustments... The bounce might be related to my suspension and 50psi tire pressure, your results might vary...

I can flip them fore and aft and they do not hit my mirror. But depending on how the mounting post is clocked they could hit. Although, when they are folded up they do hit the sunroof control housing, I foresee me trimming these a bit to fit the truck better sometime down the road. These are the BIG lenses that are.120" thick which could be another reason why they bounce a wee-bit.

Just got mine - went standard size ...... can't wait to mount them up tonight.... one other side benefit is that this solves my issue with my upholstery guy wanting to charge 300 to redo the visors fully when he's doing the headliner...
