One of the reasons for the ARP's is budget . The OEM bolts and washers cost roughly $340, whilst the ARP kit is roughly $100 less. Not huge , but not chump change either, for what is considered a superior component.
Why are you considering using stock height shocks with a lifted vehicle if you are already ok with they cost of new shocks?
Lifting puts additional roll into a vehicle; and among other things, stock shocks are not tuned to deal with this roll...
