I've made some for a few hundys. There are details in my build thread, a little ways down on this page

2001 LX470 build LEGUSY

They are pretty simple so I didn't see the need to buy anything special. They take a beating without issue. I've sen the stock mount bend up against the arm on some trucks so its probably better to do before they get bent, but they seem to straighten out pretty easily too.

The lotus development guys got back to me. They said if they had a local 100 in Denver to measure they would probably be able to make em up.

Okay everyone,

Got with a vendor and they will make these for all who is interested but I need to get a good number of us to be in the "buy in" to prioritize the fabrication of these.

they will looks be made of 3/16 HSLA steel and will look similar to this:

Im in for sure. Thats exactly what I want/need. I would rather have the bottom in 1/4" or 5/16 though. Maybe the 3/16 will be enough??

Interested-

Very interested.

Funny just saw a posting on another thread an look at these brackets:

Are these going to require a weld as pictured above? Also, the first bracket looks like it bolts to the old mount and has an indent for the mounting bolt for the control arm/mount. How will yours mount? I would rather that the bolt pass through both the protection bracket and mount. This, with new and longer mounting hardware would ensure simple installation. A weld would up the complexity on these, but make them that much stronger.

Good question, let me find out.... though it looks like the non-mounting hole is partially blocked by the control arm ring.
