Pressure washed and cleaned very thoroughly, hung the frame with the forklift and ran water through each channel for 30 ish minutes before we cut it apart to get the mud out, sanded and roughed up the existing paint, gave it an acetone bath and then started spraying. We did our best to get inside by using an applicator tip from eastwood. Most of the frame had internal coating besides where we cut and welded it so I am pretty confident what we did will hold up.I'm about to do something to my frame. It's in great shape with just some surface rust on parts of it. So, if you don't mind sharing, how was it prepped and what did you do inside the boxed portion?
Eastwood, I have used their chassis paints in the past with great results. Also comes in single cans so we can reapply as scrapes occur which is niceWhich brand did you use?
Exactly!
It's a used Toyota...
Wow, that looks quite nice!!!
Multi quote TJ it's a thingIs that a regular body paint? Or a frame/chassis paint?

I love technology and making sure things fit well on the first go... 40 Gallon tank should be plenty for all the road tripping this pig will do. In tank pump, fully baffled, a few more measurements tomorrow and it'll head to the laser... Good luck banging this one @gonzopancho (Yes that's a challenge!)
Airbox in the works, will use a drop in panel air filter from a 3UR-FE from a 200 Series. Easy, cheap, obtainable and will flow enough air and TOYOTA. Sucking from the passenger fender hole for clean air that is up high since there is no snorkel on this one. Fender hole has more surface area than the front of the turbo inlet so it is a prime candidate to get our air from. Will run a 4" tube direct into the turbo. Not quite wrapped up but it's 11:00 and I am done for the evening, tomorrow we'll get it wrapped up!
