Fuel pump is there because the fuel tank resides mostly below the carburetor by the rear wheel there. It's a low pressure pump, like 5 PSI. It should cycle until it feels resistance against the carburetor float needle. Pitter patter pitter patter pitter patter pitter patter stop

This one's actually a 4 wheeler. After working through the spark side electronics with Ed via text and confirming the fuel pump worked i pulled the carb and cleaned it with brake cleaner as best I could and let it dry out. I've never done any carb work so didn't want to go to do irrepairable damage. I cleaned the crud out of the bowl and removed the main jet and cleaned that as best I could. After getting it all back together I couldn't get the started to fire off using the switch so I jumped the solenoid. About 4 cycles on the starter with some starting fluid and she coughed coughed coughed and ran. I had to fiddle with the idle screw a bunch to get it to idle off choke but I got it. Reveling in that success I decided to step through the wiring diagram I paid $15 for online and figured out there's some kind of neutral safety switch that goes to a relay to close the circuit to allow the starter switch to function. I can't figure out how to confirm its in neutral since the shifter allows me to keep pushing down on it. There's also a reverse on this below neutral so I might actually be there instead. The way the diagram shows it the neutral switch goes through a light bulb socket on the dash that's completely rusted. I ended up making a jumper to bypass the neutral safety relay and was able to use the start switch on the handle bar. I felt pretty good about myself until I then couldn't get it to fire back up after all that. I was losing daylight so gave it up at that point. I didn't get my delivery of parts today so it looks like I'll be working on this again tomorrow if the weather's this nice again. I need to read the manual and see how they say to adjust the carb maybe. And I might try to figure out that safety switch.

You’re ridiculous...
60 series, which makes it perfect for a v-8 swap as the shifter will come out the stock 4spd 40 hole.

Meh, the Holy Grail would have been the H55F with 40 top and splitcase with drum e-brake output.
Yeah, the parking brake set up is still in the box, waiting to be installed. 
I need this top plate for the application that it is going in so it works out. I guess I will just have to take the Silver edition, not the Gold one! The v-8 swap moves everything forward 3" and the 60 series top plate is 3" back.

Swapped out the rear diff cover and started working on swapping the front hub until realizing the new one wasn't the right part... had some old man constantly yelling at me and telling me to hurry up. Even tried killing me with a grinder while I was working on the diff cover...
