Build '81 Trekker ReDistruction

[Pacer]

I picked up a rusty '81 Toyota Trekker a year or so ago. It is a mess! Floors rotted on all four corners of the cab, sliding windows and tailgate look as though they leaked from the factory and the globbs of silicone applied by previous owners tells a similar tail.

I never posted a build thread for my 62, so I thought I'd better start one for the rusty Trekker while all the pics are on the same device.

What I started with.

Made some progress yesterday!

Saw this technique for lifting the cab on Mud a few years back and figured I'd give it a shot.
Took everything I could off to lighten things up and attached an engine hoist to the seatbelt mounting bolts.

And she's off:

Things got a little unwieldy here, but got it stabilized. Flame away, I was living it!

Thought we might set it down on the Motorcycle lift, but thought better of it and set her on the floor.

You know, Blair, I never realized it, but you're right. We have some motivated mofos up in here!

Dude, it's time for a lift!
Just make sure the concrete in your floor is thick/strong enough! My $2000 lift ended up costing me around $4500!
