Thanks Matt, LMK if you find any pictures of a factory light.
Mine is a ‘74, FYI.

I have been driving the Pig over to @Bump It Offroad it sure is nice to have that 5th gear and smooth, new clutch.

I need to finish the H55 swap, she was driveable on the H55 right around a year ago.
  • Transmission tunnel - move the holes. Right now a lot of hot air comes in from the gap.
  • Speedo cable. I ordered one, now I need to put it in.
  • Leaky gasket on the back cover, I just ordered a replacement

Such a great looking hog
Thanks man.

I was trying to find your post where you said you just cut a rectangle and basically flipped it to move the shifter hole for H55 into FJ55.

Any chance you remember where that is?

Did you do the same for the t-case hole?

My metal fab guy didn't think that was going to work, so I wanted to send him your post.

Like I said, a lot of hot air enters the cabin when the transmission cover is sitting back for or five inches. I feel like air just washes right through the engine compartment, over the exhaust manifolds, and then right on in!

TJ, i have found this highly modified pair of old mountain bike shorts to work rather well. No welding and can be adjusted as needed.

If for some reason you need a pair of shorts in a pinch, you have a spare set riding along with you.

Pablo, did you ever find a split case pto for the winch?
Goodness no!

Why would I rush into a thing like that?!?

I still need to get the AC functional.

In all seriousness, @Pigeatenand @orangefj45 have both threatened to help me on my journey down that rabbit hole.

And then I came into a ARB compressor thank you to @Laughingjackal

Time to figure out if that ARB in the front axle that came from @FJBen can go into the rear of the Pig. If it has to stay front, I would probably stick it in the front of the 40. The 40 already has Aussie in the rear.

@scrapdaddy - I also need to find this in one of the boxes in the garage and figger out where to stuff it

Nov of ‘21…

While I fully endorse the value of extra shorts, I don’t think this will block all of the heat.

I did chuckle when bike shorts changed the pad from beige to brown…
