What year? Until '94 you can. '95 - '97 have airbags, so no. You can find threads where people transplant other Toyota steering wheels onto '95 - '97 models, transferring the airbag into the new steering wheel.
I put a new Toyota steering wheel on my '94. Amayama currently has one in Japan for $167! (I paid ~$190). Part number 45100-60170-01.

It’s a 96’. Do you know anything about getting new leather for it?

If you search, there are several options for leather wraps you can put on. I think people also swap Lexus LS400 steering wheels.
That’s a great job you did. Thanks for sharing this. I think I’m going to try what you did, I’ve done a lot of leather work in other things before.I've had a couple of different adventures with steering wheels. The first thing I tried was buying a real leather cover on amazon for my model 100 rustbucket that requires stitching it on. It takes 2-3 hours (at least that is what it took me) but the results were overall pretty good. I did find that it is absolutely necessary to glue to the old steering wheel--otherwise it never quite feels right.
For my '93 model 80 I wanted to try to do the leather work myself. So I went to the junkyard and bought a decent wheel and got it put on the truck, taking the old, sad leather-covered one off. First I tried cleaning and re-sealing the old leather. The results were 'meah..' So I then stared at this thing in my apartment for a month or two. I've made things out of leather before, and I have the punches and thread and so forth, but the shape of a steering wheel is rather daunting.
Finally one weekend, fortified by a couple of beers, I just started:

I taught myself to do the 'baseball' stitch by watching a bunch of youtube videos and then making mistakes. I will skip a lot (and do a longer post later in a separate thread), but here is the finished results:

It was very satisfying to do this. The wheel is going on El Wahsh now. Will post a photo of the wheel in-situ. BTW, this is camel leather. I drove to the leather tannery set up by the Abu Dhabi government and its a pretty cool and modern facility. And they let you select your own skins.
Yes, this took a long time. And the results are not perfect. But I like it a lot. If I do another one--my 1998 model 100 could use it--I will do better.
I should mention that I deliberately added another layer of leather over the existing leather--I wanted a thicker steering wheel.
There are a bunch more photos in my album: Leather Work
And not to try to take business away from CruiserYard, I've actually got two spare model 80 steering wheels at the moment, and I will be in the DC area in mid-May and someone who needs one can pick one up for the price of letting me bore them for a bit. If anyone wants one, just let me know. I'd prefer to give them away to someone from the forum. I don't want to store them! (I won't ship--have to leave the business side to CruiserYard!)contact @arcteryx at CruiserYard for a used one
New steering wheel for the old LXCan a aftermarket steering wheel be put on this truck or where would I find a new one?
