Ok hopefully the last boring update before cool things actually start happening. While waiting for parts and things to show up I have wanted to gather before turbo data so if people wanted to know they would.
So the pre-data:
HP - I have my pre dyno (135hp 189ft/lbs)
Speed - I have the pre turbo 10-80ish mph pull I will put the post video side by side
Temp - I have both intake air and water temp at 70 and 90 degrees ambient
Economy 12.7mpg around town and this surprised me but just over 16mpg with the cruise set at 70mph for 155 miles. Fully armored, 35's and stock gearing.
If you have any other "pre" data that you might want to see let me know soon, since I think next week or the following the turbo'ing process actually starts.

Haha no the small one is a Toyota America rally car system that EMS is working on for the 4 wheel drive Celica. I was just comparing it to the 7670 I ordered. BW changed suppliers for their casting and I got very lucky and got one of the investment casted turbo's while the Toyota America turbo has a sand cast housing.

EMS had a break in their schedule so they knocked out the custom A/W tank for me. Awesome fabricators and I was lucky enough to be there to see it go together. Marc their welder/fabricator, can just see angles and sizes and was never wrong bending in the manual brake it was pretty cool to see. Me personally I would have been walking back and forth 5 times before I got it just right.
So it's about a 5.2 gallon tank, double welded (inside and out) with a thick weld on flange for the Meizere 20gpm water pump.

Thanks, I am kind of pissed off at myself that I did OEM head bolts when I rebuilt the head, but I really wasn't going to turbo it, if Landtank's MAF would have worked for some power. So my boost levels will have to be kept fairly low, I am shooting for 300-350awhp, nothing crazy.
Don't worry too much about the head bolts. Stock head bolts are fine for up to around 22psi all day long.

You can push it past that too. But for a daily driver I'd stop at 22psi or lower. If we lift the head at boost that low I'll cover that out of pocket.

Frickin money pit! So I had been having some pulsing brake issues and I had been putting it off, but I might be using the 80 to tow a Supra so I started to dig into the brakes, and yep rotors are warped. PO said he did them right before I bought the truck so only 13-14k miles ago. They were OEM rotors and pads. So I guess I suck at driving. I am trying Stoptech cryo treated slotted rotors and EBC 7000 series greenstuff pads

Also the A/C stopped working Friday with 5 people in the car and 95 degree temps! So back to the shop, the freon is low, only 1.36lbs and max is 1.98lbs. Filled it and tested it, we could only pull 25" of vacuum so there is a leak somewhere. Ran the leak tester and it hit in the passenger foot well, so having to order expansion valve, dryer, and I am going to order a new evaporator too if I can find it reasonably priced.
When does it end?! haha. I am guess if I am doing brakes I might as well do a front end rebuild. I have the rebuild kit in the garage, but have been putting it off for a while. Hard to do cool stuff when regular maintenance gets in the way. lol.

Not sure if you read a thread by cartercd in the 80s Tech titled "Adjusting water valve to maximize A/C performance ", but Airlaird's (who details his in carter's thread) complete AC setup on his SC'd 80 worked better than my OEM unit in Texas. Sorry no link, still don't know how to do that on the Mud app.
