You dont need the part time kit
But if you want to do the part time kit you might as well since you will have the tcase apart

The delay in ordering gears is attributed to not knowing if the PT kit was necessary for molys.
A lot of opinions to sift through in determining, and conflicting info from those in the know, whose opinions I value.
The gears were a no brainer, as far as I'm concerned, since the TC is bulletproof and there's not an option to swap for an Atlas or other.
How manyis it to install these gears myself?
So where are you at?Have refrained from ordering the gears while determining the "need" for PT, against the recommendations here on Mud, that it's not enough of an improvement to warrant. Glad that there's feedback on viability.
Wish I were closer to a reputable shop and would go that route on the install.
Thanks for the input.

I'm in for the same. Wondering if a 25% off from Jambo will be allowed, combined.
One decision made, at least
So are Slee's gears the same as Marlin's? I don't see anything on Slee's website about them and called them the other day but didn't get an answer and have not had a chance to call back.

I'd sayand a 1/2. It's a good idea to replace the front/rear output seals and bearing/races and the transmission rear output seal as well. The front output shaft seal + bearing can be somewhat of a pain. The Harbor Freight small trans jack is a big help for dropping the Tcase in a safe manner. It's a heavy bugger.
