Sounds really intriguing! I follow a bunch of Ausies on F B and it is really interesting what all they do to the 1fz. It's kinda like the Chevy small block of the South Pacific.

Good chance that you have other compromised parts in the cooling syste.system.. the whole concept was developed at our shop in Mesa by ToolsRUs, RIP, and it has been very consistant for us. Can you drop by the shop?

Mine sure is. I have wheeled it quite a lot with a 37 on it, I would recommend a name brand.

I reused the one that came with Luke's single swing kit. I also reused/relocated his anchor pin. I just welded it onto the cap of my 3 x 3 beam. Probably a Destaco? I set it really tight. Takes 2 hands to open.

The 1995 model is an oddball. Toyota made most of them fully OBD 2 compliant, but the Feds did not require it until the 1996 year model. So the 95 gets tested like an OBD 1. I have heard, but never seen, that there were a few 95s inn the US...

I just cut down some scap Delrin to size, then I kinda milled it down to almost the right thickness by using an X Y double axis clamp bolted onto drill press table. Used a belt sander for final thickness. Block is tapered on the approach side...

It may of changed since I had Collector plate on the Piggy. Back then the rig had to be over 25 years old and have a collector insurance policy that states limited driving usage and an annual mileage limit. My Farmers agent was pretty cool...

But he already has the Luke's. This is what I did. All from scratch. No plans or measurements. Notice there is a deck plate under the tire. It supports some weight and stability and it helps greatly in mount and dismount when your muddy 100...

Sounds good. I would go ahead and file the warranty claim. Keep it as a spare or just selling for $$$.

I was not happy with Luke's single swing arrangement. My opinion was that it was too light for a 37" spare banging thru rocky trails forever. His bumper IS plenty stout. So I built my own version of a single swing. I made a 1/4" thick pad...

My 4x4 labs rear bumper would rattle and my slee rear also rattled. I fixed the rattle on both by tightening the latch more. The latches should take some effort to close. Not hernia effort but a 10 year probably couldn't close mine.

We do a few other cheats. I M running 50000 CST silicon fluid and the 10% overdrive fan pulley from Photoman? I have also built my own spacer on the fan so I can run the original fan in spite of having the TRD Supercharger crammed in there...

We have installed a couple dozen so far over the last 7/8 years. Only know of 1 failure so far, now 2 with yours. Reliability is still acceptable to me.expecting 114+ degrees this weekend here in Phoenix. My temps should stay in the mid 190s.
