Not necessary to remove transfercase for the installation of the gears or PT kit, just say'n

it is for what Ali is describing.

and i agree. if you are doing all this work for either the PT or the lower gears, might as well drop it all and refurbish everything for the long haul. just makes sense.

I guess I went the dumb way:o

Do we know anyone that could provide parts for a "kit", inclusive of a rebuild, as you describe?

For us sensible dummies, of course.

A kit would be a nice find

Left to my own devices. Hoping for input in determining a parts list to appease the "while I'm there" disease I suffer from, since gears are en route.

That said, what should be tended to in an effort to refurbish the TC?

"Onur Azeri

Proffitt's Cruisers"

When did this happen? Nice promotion there, Patron.

Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Since the PT kit doesn't appear to be a necessity for molys, and this in by no means a DD, will forgo PT and do the TC gears only. (As for thread relevancy. Regearing, moly axles, new Birfs and a whole host of other crap slated).

Not cruiser specific but Sam's offroad?

I have been searching and no kits. Call Toyota and they ask what you want  you just had to bail didn't you Beno ;)

I would call his mentor, Cruiserdan, AKA the Parts Shaman.

I have gears, but hoping to compile a list of sundries for a "kit", meaning the components that should be replaced while it's undergoing surgery, considering I have no idea what I want.
