Thanks for the reply. The hinge you suggested would be perfect. Watched the installation video on the site...lost me at "plunge router," and a bunch of other tools and skills I don't have. Looked great, though, and simple enough if I had an equipped shop.
I'm still hoping to find a simple leaf hinge that I can inset, even from the top...just so it's flush. I had considered some form of fabric or cloth hinge, too, as you suggested. Heck, that cheap recycled plastic carpet is thin enoigh that I could probably just glue it down over the whole top and it could BE the hinge. I've already got magnets embedded in the wings and supports..they work very well. Just trying to avoid gluing down carpet, to keep it easier to remove and clean.

Instead of gluing, you could screw the carpet down on either side of the wing to form the hinge. Small screws carefully installed would bury their heads in the carpet pile. It would take a little more time to remove the carpet for cleaning, but it would be removable.

I used super thin urethane conveyor belt strip about 2" wide and used 3M spray contact cement to secure it

@sleepycruiser I don't have these (yet!), but look around to see what some others have done. I did see a few pics with sleeping setups on top of the drawers. If you look through the reviews on his site for the 100 series, I found this: Land Shark Outfitters

My wife bought me a drawer set for christmas! When the fedex guy dropped it off christmas eve i was instructed not to look at the shipping label and to just drag it into the living room under the tree. I'm really excited to start into the assembly and make it my own. Planning to Raptor line it to match the interior as a test run before I raptor the whole truck!!

Thats my review. After a year of ownership id consider giving them 6 out of 5 stars. Can't state how much I use them and what a good value they are. As for sleeping platform there is an ever so slight gap and slope from drawers to the middle seats. If you lay the rear seats do you will see they are angled so some have greated a foam wedge to make it flush. Using an airmatress soaks it right up. If I used a sleeping pad I would try to find a way to level it or just sleep head to the rear

I put a full size memory foam mattress back there. It’s so comfy. Recently my wife and I were on a 4 day trail ride and the 2nd day it rained like hell and everything got soaked. We booked a hotel room at the nearest town so we could dry out and go to a laundromat. We ended up sleeping in the truck in the hotel parking lot because it was so much better than the hotel bed. For those of you who used line-x/upol/raptor, did you apply it before assembling the drawers or after? Would you have done it differently in retrospect? Any tips?

I would think pre-applying this would cause fitment issues given how precise all of the cuts are. I intend to pre-assemble, roll on my Raptor, then disassemble to the extent necessary for installation in the truck.

Installed some Southco compression latches to keep the drawers nice 'n tight. Clockwise on one side and counter on the other. Just barely touch the plastic-gap-flap thing when the tailgate is closed, not enough to concern me but enough to point it out.
