Got a PN or link to those latches? I like the simplicity and i hate rattles! You could always just shave that tab down a little bit. I wonder if there is a folding handle version of that.

Finally got started on putting these together yesterday. Drawers went together perfect and square without any hammer mashing. I'm thoroughly impressed with the very simple tool to aid in aligning the drawer slides. Great Job Dave. Plan is to coat the whole kit and kaboodle in Raptor liner as a pre-test before I paint the entire LX.

the drawer bottoms fit in the dado channels on the 4 sides of the drawers.

I got these as a christmas gift from my wife. I think she ordered them after thanksgiving and they showed up on christmas eve.

Is the bottom of the drawer also .5 ply? I assume thats what the rest of the drawer is made of??

So ... I like to keep my spare inside standing on end (strapped down) on driver's side. I've been looking at a lot of pictures. Would it be possible to shorten the width of this? In essence, I would have one short drawer (closest to tire) and one full size drawer (regular passenger side drawer. I know that shortening the top and drawer are 100% possible based on pictures. I am concerned on how I would manage the underside. Any ideas? Does this make sense?

Didn't notice your msg w/o the quote, apologies for the delayed response.

The latch part numbers are below. They have quite a few different styles, keyed, tooled, didn't notice a foldable though, that would be nice. They aren't exactly off the shelf readily available so once I found what I wanted I asked my parts dept here at work if they could locate some and order me a couple of both. Couple weeks later they came around, dropped them on my desk and asked what job were they supposed to charge them against! I think I have 2 extra clockwise and 1 extra counter-clockwise if anyone is interested.

I'm glad to see we're back to trolling useful things in a tech forum.

@CruiserDave, I can't wait to receive my drawers. These things look great.

Added piano hinges and foam tiles from Costco. The small strip over the hinges can easily be removed so the wings can be lifted.

I used the UPOL Raptor roll on coating for the top and drawer faces. I also decided to coat/seal the bottoms of the drawers in case anything ever spilled it would stay in the drawer instead of leaking out.

Also put a radius on the front and back edges to keep them from getting to beat up.

All in, this system is awesome and @CruiserDave did an excellent job designing and implementing the drawers (as can be attested by the numerous kits in the wild today). Cheers Dave.
