Ok guys. Put in your vote for exhaust. I think I'm doing dual exhaust. exit in front of rear wheels or behind or straight out the back or through the cab and out the ragtop? Stainless or black or Chrome for obvious performance increase.
Cut holes in your rockers (you really should have sliders) just ahead of the rear wheel arches. Poke the stainless exhaust tips out through them.

Dang, you have come a long way with this since we chatted two years ago. Guess you opted not to rattle can it.

Wasn’t original intent to take family to beach?

She looks like a beautiful pig!! Great job

Yeah, once I got into it, I could not stop. I was going to send it to our South Carolina home, but we ended up buying a lx 460 out there that is more practical for touring around.

Two problems have emerged as I get more adventurous driving it around the block. 1. The steering is terrible. It wanders and has a ton of play. I assume I will need a new steering box, which I am assuming will not be readily available and will lead to another 2-3k conversion or something. 2. Tonight when I got back the radiator was smoking and overflowing and the hoses were swollen. I hope its something simple like a faulty cap and not something major! The radiator is new from Mosely Motors with a Spal Fan on it. Any tips or suggestions would be super appreciatated.

Do you have heater hoses hooked up?
I know on an LS it’s imperative that they are looped and not blocked off. Not sure what the situation is with 350’s.

As far as the wandering, you might consider taking it to a front end shop. There’s almost always an issue with caster with lifts, but your front suspension looks mostly stock.(?) Verify everything downstream of the steering box is in good condition before throwing steering boxes at it.

No heater hoses, and I do have vortec heads, so that must be in. I’ll get that hooked up this week. All of the steering components are new, so I will take it to a shop. But just standing still there it a lot of play in the wheel.
