What should I do for exhaust? Dual, single, 3”? Behind the rear wheels, or out the back?
2 1/2 inch two to one out behind the driver side rear wheel , With some kind of pipe disconnect in 2 different places ? You will sometime in the future need to pull Tranny or xcase ? you want to be able to access these ! My 2 cents

For those of you following along.....
1. Do you put plastic between the new door panel cards and the door panel to protect against moisture. I used to do that on my VW Bug back in high school.
2. Door lock knob bushings. The little insert that goes in the hole so the door lock knob doesnt just bang around. Any source on those?

Yes you should put plastic using butyl tape around the edge. OEM liner is NLA. I understand that shower curtain liner material works well.

lock knob bushings still available from Toyota:

Where did you get your ARB front bumper? FJ 40 modified? Made for a 55?

It is for a Fj40. but needs no modifications other than making a plate on the underside to bolt it up. The top bolts just line up and work. You can find them at various online places. Here is a link to one of them.....

I need to get one of these retaining clips that is circled. I also need to know, were there spacers under the window mechanism thathelps to line up the glass to the roller wheels? Its over a 1/4"sitting lower than the glass retaining bar.

Clips are NLA but I would think are easily found aftermarket, but I haven’t looked. No spacers under the window mechanism but your tabs could be bent. I don’t see any harm in adding a washer or two if you need them for alignment.

Not exactly the same type, but I'm sure if you search the web you can find something that's a closer match, in any case all it needs to be is a push nut that holds the rod from slipping out. If you have an Ace hardware nearby they stock a surprising amount of weird stuff like this

I’ve had it for about 2 years. It did have an old ragtop in it that was likely installed in the 70’s given the condition and the brand of the old ragtop that has long since gone out of business.

Someone started restoring it and got the two front fenders fixed up, then gave up. Then a guy in our area here in Northern California bought it and reassembled it to flip it. I picked it up, with wild dreams and aspirations.! Quickly realized it was underpowered and impractical. I almost gave up at that point but with the encouragement of two mud brothers I went all in. Anyways, it’s coming all together and will hopefully be starting it up here soon, then it’s off to exhaust and then to the upholstery guy for headliner and carpet. Here are a few more pictures.

It doesn't look underpowered any more!

Spot on for both questions.
I used a cling film that we used for diagnostic equipment before shipping. It was nice and thin and had a mild adhesive that was residue-free.
When it was time to apply the film to the inside of the doors, I drove the Pig to work one weekend and went in to get a roll. One of the guys in shipping saw me walking out with the roll and asked what I was doing with that.
"It's date night!" I said
He damn near pissed himself he was laughing so hard.
