Some sorta Pig related drama, in a string of drama that’s been going on in the RUSH house. Record amounts of snow in northern AZ coupled with an enormous amount of rain the last couple weeks has put the Verde River at flood stage. This is what 11,000 cfs looks like from my front deck. It was as high as 19,900 last Thursday. Now there’s potential for 15,000 cfs more on top of what’s currently here. Hopefully we get by without incident, but 30 years ago, there was 1-1/2’ of water in the garage.

When I was living in Flagstaff from 2002-2005 the Verde was usually pretty empty compared to what you’re showing. Hope you all stay safe and dry.

Went to the retina specialist today for my 6 month follow up

My condition is stable. Going blind is not going to happen soon. Probably at least 10 years down the road.

Felt a huge weight off my back

Now to suck all the juice out of life while I can. We are going to Denmark this summer and will cruise the PNW this fall.

Happy to hear you got reprieve. Not sure where all your traveling in Denmark but if you are in Copenhagen do visit the Kastellet!

Yesterday I finally threw a reduction starter on old Zeke and wow was that a good difference.

Today my wife and I cooked for the homeless. I really dug the industrial kitchen at the shelter and unbeknownst to me the 5 pounds of cut up frozen orange sweet peppers they gave me to make Stroganoff with were actually scotch bonnets.

A fellow volunteer decided the dish should be named Beef Dragonoff instead.
