😳😳😳. Wow! So many interesting stories and characters in the 55 fold!!! Amazing, really, when you consider it. Can’t be coincidence, something about old, stinky, vehicles or Land Cruisers or iron pigs brings together the best and most interesting! Proud to be part of this community.
If you’re weird enough to own an old truck that 90% of your neighbors couldn’t identify with a loaded gun held to their head, you’re going to have some unique stories.

Russian stout and IPAs are … not good, but when in Russia, you drink what they have

Had bratwurst for dinner…

I prefer stouts and porters, but Russian imperials stouts are usually undrinkable. One limited edition from Belching Beaver was pretty good. I didn't start out liking IPAs but in San Diego every watering hole has 48 IPAs and 2 dark beers. I have a few IPAs I will drink, but typically I want my beer like I want my Pig.

@PabloCruise did you ever read Lonesome Dove?
No!!!
I just finished Stephen King's Gunslinger - the first of his Dark Tower series.
Next on deck is The Things They Carried.
Might be a good time to rotate in Lonesome Dove after that!

We went to Germany on our honeymoon. Had weisswurst one morning.

Never again. 🙃
You guys had some fancy honeymoons.
I took my bride to Alaska for some fishing. She got sick as a dog on the boat, but she says she still had fun!

Great that it has worked out for 37 years. Wife and I have been married for almost 39. We met in a physics class. That story is only interesting if she tells it.
Guessing her story is of the "two body problem" variety...

More like I think I'll introduce myself to the a**hole that blew the curve on the first test.

I'm partial to that too. Putting up the feet and enjoying a beer and a smoke. Nice! Although that stogie would probably turn me green!
Been partaking more in the liquor store selection the last couple of weeks. I can usually get through about 3/4 and I’m good. That one there was especially long lasting and probably hit on it for an hour and a half.

It was a good weekend.

Little sister came up with 4 tix to the Broncos final game of the season. I took the boy and his 2 friends to the game. That was pretty funny hearing their conversations for the hour drive down to Mile High.

Broncos lost - what else is new - it was still fun.

I was born in Pittsburgh. My parents used to take us kids to 3 Rivers Stadium to see the Steelers and the Iron Curtain win. So it was alright to see the Steelers beat the Ravens on OT. Kind of cool that Big Ben gets a post-season game before he retires (big thanks to the Raiders and Carlson for not settling for the tie).

I spent six weeks in Linlithgow, Scotland before that honeymoon by myself, getting the Sun Microsystems factory open and running.

I flew to LHR to FRA, she flew DFW to FRA, but she befriended a nice German couple who insisted on taking us out for a pizza before we could … ahem… “adjourn” to the hotel.

We .. drank a lot of beer in Germany 32 years ago.
