Headlight upgrade for better lights? (1 Viewer)

I run the first gen Truck Lites 24v.....the ones with all the LEDs. I can't do the modern look of the later versions or the JW lights. The only issue with my style Truck Lites is that the beam pattern is broken up by the bulbar. I have weird shadows in certain areas. I would guess that the newer style bulb would be better....or a projector of some sort. Just not into that look.

I agree. The JWs, while possibly having better control over light projection, look like a spider and don't match the 70 at all. Just my opinion.

The Truck Lites are a perfect mix of modern and classic.

Installed a set of IPF H4 headlights with 70/75 along with a separate harness. While the color is not LED quality; the amount of light they put out is far better than factory and not near as expensive as LEDs.

I ran this setup in a 40 for a long time and it was one of my favorites.

If using the harness on a 24v truck you would also need to change the relays in the harness.

Hello,

Now that is a nice upgrade.

I have to ask: what is the part number?

Hello,

Thank you so much.

TBD :D

I've been running that exact headlight/harness kit in a 24V truck for a bit now with Hella H4's and previously IPF led bulbs. I had an extensive conversation with an EE about the relays and his recommendation was to simply try it, worst case I nuke relays and pop the fuses. In fact he wasn't worried at all about the operating voltage of the relays but rather the switching voltage. While many relays are 10-30V rated... the supplied relays are definitely marked 12V so I'm still hunting for 24V relays that will plug/play with the harness.

what is this kit sell for ?

$48.80 Toyota MSRP.

39 in transit from Japan. 24 on back order in the US. I have 3 in stock and there are 3 on hand at various depots.

I have seen people price-gouging on this part saying that it's "NOS" blah, blah, blah. Don't believe the hype. These are readily available in the Toyota pipeline and not even close to being discontinued or an NOS part.

I know this is the 70 section but according to those directions above, would just the harness from this kit work in a certain 4 headlight land cruiser?
