Hand Throttles

Don't hold your hopes up high for TMSUSA to make a decision based on what customers want....

This is an "attempt" on our part to get something added.

GotMud some how was able to add OEM snorkel so Hand Throttle seem like nothing compare to snorkel. Hope dies last.

This attempt is similar to getting one's student loan debt forgiven.

The hand throttle has a direct impact on engine operation. and the TMS legal department may take a dim view of it being available when it was not tested with the original vehicle when the DOT approved it.

For the price of the hand throttle just go with a AC electric solenoid. It would not be adjustable but I dont think it would be needed. Once set and with a push of a button you have RPM

An FJ60 hand throttle would probably work. Haven't tried it myself, but would probably a good fit.

I've got an FJ60 hand throttle (image below). I'm not sure if it will fit either, but if you are interested PM me with an offer if you want to give it a shot (shipping from NH).

Dang. I sold my brand new fj60 hand throttle cable for super cheap along with the crate H55F I sold a month or so ago. Sounds like I should have kept it to give it a try. I got my cable from SOR.

Also...I just sold my Tundra 20 minutes ago. Stoked! Hijack off...

Hand throttles rule - couple years ago I was in a really precarious position and used the hand throttle to crawl out with foot on brake to modulate speed. Spectator congratulated me on my crawler box.

I've seen the longer Mag lite flash light used as the poorman's hand throttle (pin it between the pedal and the seat pulled forward IIRC).

Hey that was me. My hand throttle quit working about a year after I installed it- I was pulling on it to increase rpm's which kept pulling the knob off. Eventually the knob got pretty stripped, would only work when I first depressed the pedal then pulled the knob out to match the tension... I really only used it when airing up with OBA and it was easier to just grab the flashlight- a big 5 battery one I bought from Ige. Ice scrapers work pretty good too for that matter that's how I used to warm the LUV up before high school.

Hey that was me. My hand throttle quit working about a year after I installed it- I was pulling on it to increase rpm's which kept pulling the knob off. Eventually the knob got pretty stripped, would only work when I first depressed the pedal then pulled the knob out to match the tension...

As you found out, the proper way to use the Hand Throttle is to set the RPM with your foot on the gas pedal, then lock the knob with a twist. Pulling on the knob then locking will shorten the life of the locking mechanism and/or knob.

Can you say 7*series hand throttle!
These use threads...left to decrease and right to increase rpm.
The knob will not pull offf, will not stick.

Had the old system and upgraded to a hzj 7* system.
