On The Road Again, priceless….šŸ˜€

Kind of.

The PO had an old school oil pressure gauge tapped into the block on the old F when I got it.

Since none of the gauges worked I kept it but tapped in the 1/8ā€ NPT into a non Pressure style oil filter housing.

It never leaked in the 3+ years but I must have disturbed the threads enough to make it leak when I swapped this all out.

I pulled it today and chased the threads good and reinstalled with Locktite 567

Still leaking. I’ll be calling Classic Cruisers on Monday for a new one. I’ll try to get one that’s already tapped this time from the factory and try to make the stock gauge work again. If not I’ll get an adapter.

Mean time it’s back as walking wounded

😢

I got my OEM pressure sensor from Classic Cruisers. Wild Toyota still makes this. The gauge was broken on the old cluster and I never even bothered to check the new cluster. I just used this old one that was on it.

BooYah, the stock one works. Just needed to run the black/yellow from the drivers side to the oil filter housing

It’s back and fully on the road. Now it’s just doing work and smiles

Had the privilege to ogle over the Goat in person this past weekend. Was amazing to see you, Red, Cowboy and your inspiring shop build on Saturday. Lots of great stories to tell and stories being made in that space. Cant wait to get back there or see you out traveling around the country. Keep the stories and the pics coming.

Please give your input , thinking about pulling the trigger on a kit

So, I missed my flight to Switzerland this morning. Totally ****ed myself. Set my alarm wrong and smooth missed it.

Got home and pouted for about 4 hours.

Then I decided to punish myself for my stupidity so I rebuilt the window runs and "felts" on my driver door.

This job sucks bad enough when I get paid to do it but it's truly punishment if getting nothing.

But it's done.

I ended up having to pull one of the new runs and adding an old worn one to make it work. Both new ones were too tight. Never had that happen. Glad one full section of my old runs was still in one piece.

Sure Nolan!
Following your awesome works...

PS. Sad that you missed the flight to Switzerland. Should you travel again to Europe (i.e. in Germany or in...Greece) just let me know, perhaps we can meet.
