I’ve been doing the Land Cruiser thing for 20 years. I’ve owned more Cruisers than most, less than some, but I’ve seen many.

This FJ-45 is a survivor. An original. Unmolested.

You know all the terms.

I’ve been making comments about wanting a 45 LWB for some time on Mud and the prior owner, an old friend took note, and contacted me about purchasing his FJ45
Still amazed they are still out there! This is why my addiction continues!!! The hunt!! And most important is the story behind it!!

This is why I love this game.

Very cool!
Love the patina!
Is there more to the story?

Very sweet score ya got there; congrats!
Cant wait to follow along another epic build here.

Round about 1974 Mr Lovaasen got tired of the balls cold winters in Minot and loaded all of his worldly possessions into the 6 year young Toyota and migrated south to Arizona. Young Arizona. 1000 miles west from where I type this.

Not sauna hot Arizona but big trees and elevation Arizona Northeast of Phoenix

From Wiki

“Young is located in northeastern Gila County at 34°6′42″N 110°55′45″W (34.111688, -110.929208),[4] along Arizona State Route 288(which becomes Gila County 512 to the north). SR 288 is paved within and north of the town, totaling about 10 miles (16 km) of pavement, but there is no fully paved road connecting Young with other highways. Young is surrounded by the Tonto National Forest

Here, the FJ45 lived a full and unmolested life. Remnant stickers show Mr Lovaasen was a bull rider and a shooter. I imagine him to look like Sam Elliot at the bar in the Big Lebowski.
