The other Cruisers came out and sniffed the Goat’s ass and then wandered back to their sheds

I added the first mod to it. My old H&R .410 seems at home here

She’s pulled into the shop now. I’m about to clean up the interior now. I think Tom already picked all the treasures out but hopefully I’ll find some more clues as I take it apart

The seats are out. I’m going to take advantage of the SOR 20% off sale and do the coral seat kit.

There are only a couple of small holes in the bed which is remarkable

The block heater cord is still there. Superb.

I’ve never had a canister oil filter. I’ll need someone to tell me how this works

Oil bath air filter sticker is still there too.

Am I missing any knobs here?

I love the cig lighter on the far right and the pre pad grip bar

Wipers work thank God. The drivers side arm is loose and had some hack job on the way it is fastened. Hopefully the shaft from the motor is not too boogered up.

Looks like the spin on FD knob that goes next to the low/hi range lever. the push button next to the throttle should be a small grey plastic plug. On the 40's it's a small black pull knob for the interior light. Also missing is the three or four inch chain with a large cotter pin on the end to lock the FD lever.

Everything else looks like it's there.

I think that the color red is the color when it has patina like yours.....

Thanks Mark, I’m making a list, it’s not super long yet but I’m going to pace myself on this one.

More interior shots pre-clean

Gotta do the cowl vent rebab with a @Racer65 gasket again. This one is full of leaves and frozen solid like Patina was

Drivers floor. Worst spot on the truck. I’ll patch it and floor mat it like Patina

Stock jack and crank handles made it

Passenger floor is much better.

Nolan, that's a great plan. Enjoy the hunt and the 45. I have all the parts books if you need a number or a pic of something. Keep the pictures coming.....

:hmm:.. and your dog not interested in the new red Lady ? .... courious :)
Nice shop.
Cheers Peter

I had just tossed her a fresh piece of venison so she was not impressed with me climbing on the roof of my tractor for that shot.

I took a paint scraper and worked out most of the big stuff then I filled a bucket with simple green and worked it top to bottom with a brush and wiped it clean.

I got down to some fresh Freeborn Red in some spots that were not touched by 50 years of sun

I’m not going to pull the fuel tank at This time. I plan on pulling the Sending unit and peering inside to see if I’m dealing with much rust but it really cleaned up nicely

You can see I did the passenger side first.

This is a WAY better starting point than my 68 was

The residue on the roof where the glue once was turned it black. This spring when I take the top off I’ll probably do a headliner

Where is the horn button? That’s what that button where you say the plug goes feels like.

What are you saying in that last sentence. I’m not following......

I’ve got one of those chains from my bottle cap oil cap from Patina

I finally will get me hands on mine in a couple weeks. This is inspiration for me to get on it as soon as she gets here. Waiting for her already is new coral seats w/ cushions. Also have Kevin’s tailgate and headache rack.

What did you get?

From a classic seeker and guy that chases every lead. Dude.... Epic!

Yes. I’ve got Tom to thank for seeking me out and offering it to me.

So, @RustyNailJustin

Two decisions I need to make soon.

Coral or black seats? If it was Spring Green coral would be a no brainer but it’s not.

$275 classic T hubcaps or some aged regular caps I have in inventory?
