I can relate, started framing the basement walls in, teenagers need a hangout and my eyes are asking for a bigger tv.

Yes. I welded in a couple of mount pads for the bucket seat frame I built. Was originally thinking of welding the seat frame in but would like the ability to remove it if I need to, so not quite settled on that yet. Some schools of thought find it uncool to drill holes in the floor to bolt a seat frame down. But what auto manufacturer in modern times doesn’t bolt the seats to the floor?

Happy New Year - 2020
We’re living in the future....
1-1/2 years into this project...

Working on making good on this tale I was talking up several months back about making a frame rotisserie. I found about the most dead simple way to make a rotisserie with 4x4 lumber and a minimum of steel.
Since 4x4 lumber is actually 3.5x3.5, it will slip in quite nicely to a piece of 4x4x1/8 square steel tubing. This makes piecing together a rotisserie a piece of cake.
Found some scrap to start this frame spit.

Nice! What's your plans for the frame?

I have a 30+ item list to go through and complete on the frame and chassis stage.
Stripping off the spring and shackle hangers, motor and bellhousing mounts, welding cracks, fabbing up a rear x-member, welding in new spring hangers and shackle mounts, etc., etc., etc...

First thing to go was the MAF shackle reversal.
