Look what I got in the mail… I had no idea this was coming. Seriously almost 2 months after we got the package….. going to call tomorrow and try to get out of the storage fee as that was their fault.

Had something similar happen when I shipped something to Canada last year using my FedEx account. Quoted me one thing, then a month later billed me for another $120 in 'duties'. .

Had a similar thing when I ordered my Split case from Japan. Got a $50 shipping charge out of the blue, that I was not aware of, I had to pay. Let us know what happens with it, I am sure the gang will help out.

Appreciate all the support.... first reached out to Rubber Seals folks as more than half of the shipment value was the replacement seals.

Fedex knocked off the storage fees, so $214 extra in customs and fees. Very little fees on the replacement seals as we valued them at a penny, so the cost really is on the rear seals.

I have extra seals that I will try to sell for a few extra dollars to make this up.... I am not going to ask for more funds from all of you...

Thanks for all your patience through this ordeal.

Also, I do have some sample pieces that they sent to show the adaptations needed (detailed earlier) if anyone needs them for reference.

Cheers,

Let me know if I can help and owe anything else.

Hey Kelly, What do you have left over?

I'm years away from completing bodywork, but @2fpower please let me know when you're getting low on those rear door seals. Those are the only ones I didn't order and I'd hate to miss my window.

PS: You rock. Thanks again for doing this.

I only have a handful of them.

Has anyone installed the tailgate inner and outer weatherstrip belts? For some reason I didn't order those; I only ordered the 8 door window inner and outer belts. Just curious if they are plug n play or if you had to modify the attachment holes? Also looking for general feedback on how they compare to OEM - especially the outer one.

Ha! Just did that this weekend. Also installed the Baiiey channel seal. Both went in easily. I ordered the whole kit, but the outer tailgate seal didn’t come in the kit. So, I had to make an old body/tailgate seal work. Still working on a better fix for that.

I didn't appreciate that the tailgate outer seal is a right and left, two piece deal (with different part numbers). Not sure why that is/was? I guess the rubber on mine was so cracked I couldn't tell it was 2 pieces until I removed it.

Did the Tailgate inner come with the kit?

Edit: FWIW this one is available but I think it requires modifications to work.
