Could you use a Speedi Sleeve on the rotating part the rear seal rubs against? A leak similar to this is common on MGB’s and speedi sleeves are often used. Is there a super seal of the right size like Marlin Crawler’s Eco Seal?

I have had good luck finding replacment electrical plugs at Eastern beaver. If you get a new sender you can try to find its mate on that website.
